Hi,you can visit this page to get answer. I won`t compare with The Mantis, mabey be somebody will do it.
Okay, forget the ET The Mantis.

But, isn't it just $420 right? We need more bucks for other RED accessories... (am I missing something?)

How much does a full handheld rig cost? (including all accessories, Allstar and other accessories brands for putting your rig to work)

As I said before, I made these rigs because I want to improve RED accessorise. So
you will need some of RED accessories when using my rigs(especially you have bought base production pack) All you need is an universal mount, a Cheese plate or dovetail. But if you don`t have RED or ET base plate to mount te 19mm rods, please wait a month. I am going to make an accessory to solve it.

And the handles too no? How much can the full rig cost? For buying, I need to budget it out these days.

Allstar and ET's 1030? YOU BETCHA.. Sort of

Allstar and ET's 1030? YOU BETCHA.. Sort of

I got my Allstar less than one hour ago.. Grabbed my ET 1030 dovetail and... (Drum roll please)

NO JOY.....

:angry02:

Bummer.. So it was off to my local Midas shop! (Yes, midas, this is NOT LA) And I had him file down each side since the 1030 only missed by a couple mm on each end.. Then... Ta Da!! it works and it's perfect.

:w00t:

It's NOT pretty.. But my friend at midas did it and it was a free Mod... I'm sure all of you will do a much better job than I did, but from a performance standpoint, mine will work as well as yours. :innocent:

:)

Here are some pictures.

Hi,Jay
Thank you very much, your information is very useful for me. I`ll improve this on next production. If other people want to use the shoulder on ET dovetail, please ask me about this issue first.
Jay, I`ll give you a gift when I done my new production-Arri dovetail for Allstar shoulder.
If I forget ,please remind me.

I don't think it would be possible to make a clamp for the shoulderpad that would work for both O'Connor 200 & O'Connor 1030 type dovetails. The slope of the angled wedge is markedly different, as is the base thickness. The bracket fits to a standard 2060 type dovetail, correct? There would have to be a different model to work with the 1030 angle.
