I barely understand the frame rate gripes... I know that sometimes a slow motion shot is useful and dramatic, but as an editor who has worked on dozens of MOWs and short films, I have only been handed a few slomo shots over the years -- and even in those cases they were never faster than 60 fps. Is 100+ fps (something that almost no camera can do, let alone at 3, 4, 5, or 6k) such a dealbreaker that people aren't willing to buy a FF35 camera for 10 grand if it doesn't have it? Seriously, I'm cracking up. It's like with each announcement the response is "that's great, but why can't you give me a camera that's TWICE AS GOOD for the same amazing price??" High frame rates are pure luxury, not the heart and soul of filmmaking. Ok, unless you're Zack Snyder. I'd love to watch and yawn at everybody's 120 fps movies where someone crosses the street and takes half an hour to get to the other side.

The action sequence in 300 was shot in 120fps - that's nothing boring about it. And so is a lot (I mean a lot) sports event film are shot on high frame rate. Hell one of my shorts - shoot a fishing sequence with 1000 fps.
May be watch a few (or cut a few / or shoot) more films, then you will start to realize how useful that is. Also one of the advantage of film is variable film rate (and of course high speed) now RED come really really close to what film can do.
But then again, we are here because we embrace a whole new world a head of us.
