I do get the fascination.
Since a friend of mine almost shot me in the head while playing around with dad's gun I clearly stay away from those "toys".
See this is why I like to teach people firearms safety. I've taught my Mom, who has a big aversion towards firearms because she saw someone shot in the face by accident because these two people were "playing around". Firearms are very dangerous and should be treated as such. I've also taught a couple kids how to shoot and I put huge importance of how dangerous guns are and how they should be treated with respect.
Nevertheless, such footage reminds me that in the US over 1.500 kids between 18 and 19 get shot and the yearly number of rougly 30.000 killed citizens of all ages is almost a town. I don't know the numbers but in the Iraq war did'nt die equaly many US soldiers yet?! In this regard one can assume that there must be a civil war inside the US.
Here in Germany (85 million inhabitants) approx 3.500 get killed by a car accident and about 1.300 by weapons. I know that 3.500 deaths in the traffic are not good either but are guns a neccessity, for kids, mums and dads? A society makes an oath of disclosure if guns are really needed for self-protection.
I believe that guns are needed for protection. The world is a violent place and sometimes you find yourself on your own. Just pulling events off the top of my head. The LA riots were a great example of why to own a gun. The cops were doing nothing in that situation because they were too scared to take action. The businesses that weren't armed got looted and burned down. Where as the people that were armed were able to defend their business from the looters.
Hurricane Katrina was the event that made me want to learn about firearms because that event showed me that we are truly on our own.
don't worry my decision about firearms is pretty informed...
I can not judge your taste about guns...
because it's a part of your idea about the world...if you
think guns are needed that's your problem and I won't get
into the discussing it with you...you must have had that
discussion many times in your life...
however promoting those
ideas or your taste in terms of advertisement is something
questionable...and it's wrong...for me it's a crime against
humanity...
therefore I find this thread offensive, but at the same time,
useful to test Red's visual abilities yet another time...
that's all I want to say...
The clip that I posted is a demo of the piston driven system that Adams Arms makes. This is going to be shown at firearms trade shows, both for civilian and law enforcement. So how is my taste in advertising "wrong". I wasn't trying to get any Red Users to buy the system. I just wanted to share the footage because I believe it looks very cool.
Uh, it looks like you can own a Red and be stupid... This isn't the America I like... This kind of video isn't worth watching... Buy a poetry book instead, if you can read of course.
I don't know why you think I'm stupid. You should try and articulate yourself a little better instead of calling people names.
How's this for poetry.
