Hey guys... I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news, is that our manufacturing is turning into a well-oiled machine, we are getting cameras out in larger batches then every before, and we are shipping hundreds of cameras every batch instead of dozens like we were not so long ago.

The bad news is.. more cameras means more customer service calls and emails. We are growing our Bombsquad team as fast as possible to keep up, but over the next month or so, the response time is not going to be as fast as we would like to be. We are also starting the free audio board upgrade plan at this time, so as you can imagine the sheer volume of correspondence between RED and it's customers is going to be quite the undertaking.

For a moment here internally the idea of holding back delivering cameras to ease the call load was actually being kicked around, but when I put my customer hat on, as I customer, I would rather have my camera in my hands and be playing with it and wait a few extra beats if I need to contact customer service rather than not having my camera at all... if I am wrong in that decision, let me know.

So I gracefully ask everyone to bear with us :)

Thanks everyone...

The customer service I have experience from RED to date is so superior to most of the other vendors we deal with that even a significant lag in response time would still find RED way ahead of the pack.

Congratulations on the degree of success that makes this posting necessary. We all experience growing pains from time to time. Thanks for alerting us to the situation.

heh heh heh.... thanks for the support :)

Thank you for letting us know.

In my experience Red has customer support second to none: professional, responsive and helpful. Please extend our thank you to all folks working hard there. It has been noticed and it is appreciated.

Thanks for the heads Up Jarred!

For the record.... I have never had better customer service from any broadcast
manufacturer....

Let me know if I can help!

Dave

So you are growing the BombSquad Team? How can apply to be part of it?

Part-timers, temps, technicians technocrats, what are you looking for?

I am able and willing... I see it as an immense opportunity to learn.

Everyone else is just watching now.

P.s. Someone please post that picture of ussain bolt beating personal best and all other records, it belongs on reduser, and while your at it photoshop red logo on his chest or head LOL

I only accept this if you promise to update your hold music... :)
I am with you on that. :)
Is there a place where we can vote for best customer care? Both for pre and after sales it's been far supperior to anything I've experienced.
Just one gripe about the hold music...

Thanks Jarred

Trust me, everyone would rather have a camera than wait.

Sure, my yard has gone to hell since I got my RED.

But my camera is out in the world working.

Rosebud is a very happy camera.

And I'm VERY happy with the most amazing camera I have ever had -- from a company like has never, ever existed before.

Thank you Jim, Jarred and everyone at RED.

Good call. But just be careful, Jarred. Dell XPS used to have AWESOME customer service, meaning I could pick up the phone and get a really smart, really tech-savvy XPS person on the line in like 2-4 minutes. Now, the wait time is closer to 30 minutes. :waaa:

Of course, this probably has to do with the fact that XPS used to be only 5% of desktops sold by Dell. Now they have taken their mid-range PCs and branded them "XPS." :ranting2:

Rock on.

oh god Tom, if we ever start being compared to DELL i think i will shoot myself :)

Seriously, That was a motivational post, thanks.

No Worries, Jarred

All good things come to those who wait... (just a little longer.)

The Bomb Squad has been the best. Try and keep your sanity in the coming busy days - you guys are on a roll.

aloha,

Keith
