  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Carrion monitor delivery?

I still, don't have mine, and no one has contacted me. This is complete bull shit.

Hey Arrinick if you don't want yours just cancel, I am sure someone wouldn't mind moving up a spot.

You know, I've started thinking about the monitor I ordered in the same terms as ordering a hand made guitar. One guy, working alone, very high standards, much better product than a mass market item, but you just have to wait...
Though I am still waiting for a hand made guitar I ordered three years ago.
Oh well...

Luis.....
Come on.......you need to do a blanket email out to all those who have ordered and inform us of what the est delivery date will be......i'm with Arrinick, its getting ridiculous. I don't care how big or small your operation is, or how good your monitor is, you need to keep your paying customers informed. Some of us have paid months ago, and have emailed you regularly about updates and not heard a thing....?
Please......
Paul

Hi Paul(Moscow) and Arrinick,
I thought I've emailed everyone back that has sent me recent emails regarding the monitor. (not sure about PM) just logged in and see 9 PMs unread. will take a look at now.
I'm still moving steadily towards catching up with the orders. As GFIRob states, it will take longer. I'm working to remedy these issues, but its hard to trust anyone with building these things. they are delicate and I don't want to send units that don't perform or break all the time.

But don't worry Rob, you won't have to wait 3 years.

Thanks,
Luis

Hey Luis, just wondering if you got my PM? Could you give me a round about date like 2, 4, 6 more weeks? Then I can plan around that.

Thanks

Carrion delivery

Luis,
No i haven't been sent any emails at all.......?
I'm glad your moving along steadily......but some individual communication would be good, would be good to get any type of reply as to delivery estimates etc.....?
you can PM me or send an email....
thanks
Paul (moscow)

Luis looking for an update? I am getting requests for monitor rentals and would like to have one to rent.

Tell those aliens to quite abducting you. Everyone knows how hard it is to work after the anal probe.:alien:

I received my Carrion 2 weeks ago (ordered on July) and finally got to use it today with my RED ONE which just arrived.
I must say the image is really good and definitely worth the wait. I bought the B version with the optional V-mount battery adapter. Works well without any hitch. I wrote sooo many mails and never got any replies either. It really got me worried to a point of cancelling but since my RED wasn't here yet, I decided to wait. I would definitely recommend getting the HD-SDI port just in case you want to use it for client monitor.

Luis, why do you continue to advertise a 4-5 week lead time on your site with direct links to take money and not offer any kind of warning of late delivery? This is getting ridiculous. I've already had to rent and then subsequently buy a different monitor both LONG after your professed delivery time.

Maybe a Better Business thread is needed.....

Ok, Luis, I have defended you before in this thread but I am sitting here, I could be renting out a monitor. Why aren't I? Because I trusted the info you have on your website and the info you passed along here on this thread.

Luis get some BIG BRASS BALLS! I've had it, I feel like Micheal Douglas in Falling Down. Come on man, I mean I would never be able to run a business like this. You still haven't changed your website. I just checked and I could still send you money.

I require this monitor, or A monitor to make my kit complete. I am just starting out, just me, no one else and I have put my ass on the line having confidence in my products that I will be renting out. I asked last week and the week before just for an update.

I ordered:
Placed on Aug. 12, 2008
The Carrion B Item # TCHD-01b $1,820.00
V-Mount Battery Plate Item # TC-Bv $185.00
Subtotal: $2,005.00 USD
Shipping & Handling: $160.00 USD
Total Amount: $2,165.00 USd

It is cool that you have an award winning product, but your business practices.....

If you would let us in on what the heck is going on then we would be on the same page as you are right now. When you don't, well frustration builds as is obvious.

I would really like the chance to use your monitor.

If you are not getting the monitors out, TAKE DOWN YOUR WEBSITE!:angry03:

For everyone else, I am looking at these two as alternatives:

People like this never change. Get your money and move on to another company. Take it from someone who was on the same boat as yourself but jumped off a long time ago. You've got a lot of patience waiting this long.

At least some word of progress would calm clients down but this guy is a ghost.

Just for the record, I'll be changing my user name soon. But haven't found the right avatar.

Hi Luis,

We're about to order another unit (they are great displays, for anyone who's wondering!), what is the likely realistic lead time at present?

Cheers,
Dom.

Here's a question to all the owners of the Carrion. What if your monitor breaks down and you need to send it in for service, then what? I'm not here to break balls but this crosses my mind a lot and made me steer clear of any future problems of this sort. I also purchased the Carrion way back and is a great monitor and sold it because I didn't need it at the time. However I'm back in the market for another one but once again "how is warranty going to be handled".
