Hi guys,

*** YET AGAIN, WHAT AN INCREDIBLE GREAT COMMUNITY THIS IS, AND WHAT A GREAT RESPONSE ***

*** SHOOTING DATE SET FOR: SUNDAY OCTOBER 19 ***

One GOOD news! Every one in the Crew will get a "KETCHFRAME CREW" T-Shirt:)

EDIT: I was able to set you guys UP at Treasure Island Casino! If I haven't already done so please contact me for Rooms details:help: If any one is driving from LA please see if you can give a ride to Peter Majtan as He is flying in from out of the Country in to LA, Thanks!

I'm pleased and exited to announce that KETCHFRAME STUDIOS has succeeded in its quest, and has been authorized to film a popular Vegas Show, "SIRENS of TI" to produce a demo reel, and show to the Executive of Entertainment for one of, if not the Largest "LAS VEGAS" Casinos Corporation, the MGM/MIRAGE, the tremendous capability of the RED ONE camera, its workflow, deliverables, Image quality off course, but most of all the capability to be used with no cables and heavy equipment, fit for any situation.

This will NOT be a paid job, but a collaborative one, HOWEVER, this as it will for me and my company will also give you the rare opportunity to work within a world reraly accessible, and it can very easily turn in to a Paid job after all. The idea is to shoot the Show and then Edit and Post it, presenting the Executive with a finalized product, as well as each of the envolved retaining a copy to add to theyr Demo Reel.

Again I promise you that this will be a tremendous opportunity for any one involved as the resulting demo reel of this collaborative piece will no doubt add strength to each one's portfolio.

The shoot will have three Units, positioned in key spots, predetermined prior to the start of the show, and sealed from the viewing public, security and a scubadiver will be provided by the Casino, as to assist and protect during the shoot, as well as full cooperation to every need the crew might have during the shoot.

NOTE: I understand that my pushing the shooting date so close and so fast will not allow many of you that offered, to come and help but unfortunately this is a big opportunity, and a necessity in been able to give the footage to the MGM/MIRAGE before the 50th anniversary of their TI casino, and possibly turn even this job in to a PAID one! I like to add that even so you can't make it because of this schedule, I absolutely appreciate you offering in the first place, so THANK YOU, even if you will not be here it will be as if you where.

Ciao Ketch,
good news.
I'd like to be there.
Maybe next time.

Depending on when it is, I'd be happy to help you out with that Ketch. You stepped up to help us out with the L.A. RED Test (LART) event, so consider this as me just returning the favor. As you know, I was based in Las Vegas for three years and have deep experience shooting in and around Las Vegas.

Email me with details and we'll figure this out.

Ciao!

Seriously guys, I'm totally blown away by the response I have received via "PM" and also here off course, but the overwelming amount of PM's received was just insane.

So a "GIGANTOMOUNGOUS" ( I know is not a word but it gives out the sense of how i fill ) THANKS to all of you, for your responses and interest in been a participant of this Fantastic Collaborative opportunity in VEGAS.

As to provide the info to every one else, I'll try and answer the many Q? directed to me via PM's, here, so that anyone else can have access to and not repeat the same Q?, as well as helping me saving time not having to answer all the PM's individually, haven't got that Sexy Blond with an English accent, "YET" so need to save on typing time.

The Corporation for which we will be shooting this Show is owner of over 50% of LAS VEGAS Casino's ( Literally ) so having numerous Shows, the Q? is to first choose the right one to Showcase, and from there get there business in Paid assignments which vary from 10k to over 3Million!

Again, do to the insane response, and the work force that can now be put together, and I'm positive that more will come forward, the possibilities are now many, I can do a much bigger production then anticipated, and this off course will give such a Large Production value and for sure Amaze the Casino's Executives, which will see their Show shot and posted like a Movie, with tremendous FX, Slow Motion, Ramping, Grading Etc. But now the Show to be filmed might be a different one, so asap as we have decided which Show to film I will post it here, and we will then work out the logistics and various needs for such a shoot.

The shoot will be likely for only one day, but possibly "TWO", I would have loved nothing more then to be in the possibility to at list offer traveling, lodging and food expenses to all of those that have offered participation, but coming from as far as Oversees, but unfortunately at this time my budget does not allow so, and I'm truly Sorry for it!

I could not be more positive however that after this shoot, the hearts and minds of the Executives here will be captured by the quality of work that will be done here, and that Tone of jobs will originate from it, "PAID ONES" off course, and well paid as well.

This can go two ways as now, were we would only film the show with a couple of cameras, and limited crew, or go the opposite route and shoot with 3 Units and cover all possible angles of the show, shooting it Three times, on the same day.

All cameras will have to be on Sticks, and or Shoulder mounted and Battery powered!

RED DRIVES, a must.

Because of low light shooting conditions, Super speeds and Preferably MP's Lenses will be Best.

If we go with 3 Units, two cameras each, then one will shoot at the highest speed allow by the current Build at time of shoot.

For those of you that haven't already done so, please send links to your Demo Reels and or jobs done.

Look forward to give you more details and work together.

Hey Gibby,

I could not be happier then seen you becoming part of this Team, been at LART, was an absolute pleasure, and look forward to work together again.

Yes I know of your Vegas experience and that is also why I'm so pleased to see you in this thread, this is getting more and more Amazing, absolutely "LOVE the REDUSER" Community, incredible support to one an other and willingness to help each other out is truly amazing, and I can say that I haven't ever seen anything like it in any other community before, truly Fantastic.

As for the post above, now the Show might change and will post info as soon as I have it, this is now becoming a very serious Production, not that it wasn't before, but now is just taking such a different role all together, and has the Big boys here looking for it, they might not understand as much the Mumbling of my Italian heavy accent broken English, or the Technology of the RED ONE, but they sure do understand what they see.

So again Look forward to seen and work with you again my friend.

ciao

Wish i had my camera & was in Vegas dude otherwise would have loved to help you out no hesitation.

All the best with it all - looking forward to hearing more & seeing more about it.

Andrew.

If I was closer to Vegas I would be there for ya Ketch, if I could stay out of the Crazy Horse that is.....

Not to be a back seat director but hopefully you can get a Jib in there for some of the acrobatics in Q. Sounds like a real good time.

Have fun!

Understand and I appreciate it as if you were coming.

Bringing in equipment will depend on the show will end up filming, I have put in a few preferences as to what it can be shot and how many cameras can be used to cover the various angles.

Thanks again Phaz.

BTW. will say halo to the girls at the CH for you, I must see them but it is strictly work for me, you know casting and all:)

* Update *

* Update *

Hey Tom,

was about to post a brief update on that.

First let me say that this started as an idea to get one or possibly two RED ONE cameras at work for this shoot, but after " LITERALLY " been blown away by the response, and now having " 18 " RED ONE cameras available for this shoot, and many coming with their Owner/Operators which are surely amazing DP's, I have seen most of their work and it says WOW!

This now has every one here in VEGAS turning heads, first because of the response by this community, especially giving the nature of a "NON PAID JOB " and second because of the quality of the people which have offered their time and gear to shoot this anticipated event, as no show has ever been shot and worked in post in a cinematic way as the one proposed by my company, and from this great things are expected, as they are several projects coming up that would benefit the use of such production.

So now the Q's? are if my newly founded company can get in off coverage for the insurance requirements, which it should, if they decided to still do a small crew shoot or if as it seems it will go they will let me do a blast out full size Film Production and possibly even put cameras in the water, and then give different versions of the Reel to them, but also the possibility of a DVD can come out of it, and in this case compensation could also come out of it and turn this job in to a paid one, so everything can go either way, but this will be no matter which way it goes a fantastic experience and opportunity for all of us involved, and most importantly will no doubt create PAID assignments.

Now at last to answer your Q? Tom, when the shoot will take place still needs to be determined, and it will likely be determined next week at my meeting with the Entertainment Executive for the MGM/Mirage.

Will post any updates as they become available, and till then I'll continue to appreciate any offerings of participation by any professional of this industry!

Thank you again to everyone which have so far offered their time and gear.

ciao
