Wish they would drop the 1.7.0 firmware that V-Raptor X shipped with, just to have as a backup. Although, this firmware feels pretty solid so far. So many great new features. We’re just about at feature parity on the little things from DSMC2, aside from all the great DSMC3 exclusive stuff.

Loved the wireless update, favorite part !

It's under Monitoring - SDI 1/ 2 - Overlays - Video Overlay, but only available for the Top Center and Bottom Center places:
"Horizon Level" and "Horizon + Tilt Level"

Why are they in SDI Overlays, I just want to put horizon/tilt level on my DSCM3 monitor.

It's not the same graphic representation as on the DSMC2? Just numbers on tilt and pan and no more the level bars?

Patrick, not sure what setting you tried but numbers-only are showing when you enable the Gyro option. Otherwise, the bars should show up like this:

Exactly. I need an in-body gyro horizon display on my Dsmc3 monitor.
I like the horizon crosshair on the blackmagic 6k, which looks like this:

I understand that some people would like the level information to appear in the center of the screen, but damn do I like this so much more. I can focus on the frame while being aware, instead of feeling like the frame is being blocked by a big geometric shape.

It is available on RED Control. It displays as Red Lines, which are easier to see on the smaller preview screen.

yes i saw it on RED Control but liked the way it displays on the LCD monitor as it keeps the image area clean.

Thankful though that RED added this feature.
Now if only for Komodo OG.

Currently the video overlay option only shows up for SDI 1/2. There is no way I know of to dispay in body shift and tilt on DSMC3.

Excuse me if this has been answered but just upgraded firmware on camera (V raptor). Have Red small HD that I use to monitor and control camera. Is it not possible to get the "new" horizon level this way for handheld work out of the camera? I'm hearing it only works out of the SDI options? Unless I'm missing something that's not helpful at all to this setup. Any help greatly appreciated.
