  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Would be cool to know the other fellow Swedes :cold: that also have ordered a Red. What are you plans for the Red? Is anyone going to NAB? I can´t afford a NAB trip this year, because other than getting a Red we´re building a pretty massive renderfarm and will probably get a mocap suite pretty soon aswell.

I guess my Red will spend most of its time in my small chroma studio, since I will mostly use it to record chroma/fx stuff.

Up north there are one reseved. Östersund. We did have minus 30 celsius this morning. =) Would like to go to NAB but there is no time, working.

Very inspiring to read about fellow Swedes buying the RED.

My first project will be a sequal to my first movie, Saltomortalez. It was a movie about extreme body movements
made to inspire people to a more healty way of living. This time I'm taking it to the next level with the RED ONE.

We're building Stiller Studios, a 400 sqm greenscreen studio + editing suites and production areas total 1200 sqm in lidingö just outside sthlm. The whole project is built around 3 Reds, so I sure hope they are good:-)

Sounds sweet Patrik! I only got 30sqm for my studio. But I will only use it at times I don´t have time to go to a proper studio.

Btw, we´re doing a demo in April for a new type of mocap suite (Its a 3 hour demo and based on inertial sensors). I don´t know if its of interests for your 3D guys? Let, me know and I'll drop an invitation.

Hi i'm in Stockholm and I have camera no 790. Maybe we redheads in the stockholm area should get together sometime?

I'm also interested in hearing about how people are planning their workflow (long term and short term storage for example) and which additional Red equipment, lenses, tripods, mattboxes etc, people are planning to order.

Hello fellow Swedish citizens.
Do any of you know any rentals that prebooked the cam? All I've heard is that Litegrip and Ljud & Bild put down their orders at NAB. Or will any of you rent out yours?

I think Dagsljus has ordered 4 cameras and their first one is number 90 something, so they should be getting it pretty soon. And yes I'm planning to finance my camera by renting it out for a price a little lower than the big guys. :matrix:

A swedish usergroup would be nice indeed.. Im interested in what kind of gear people plan to use together with the Red. I have my own plans for my Red, and Im sure everyone else has theirs.

I think I can arrange for some kind of "get together" at our place in Stockholm in lets say September.. Hopefully someone has gotten their Red by then! I can share my knowledge in how to setup cheap Raids/Renderfarms and show you guys my new mocap "Moven" system... Im sure everyone has their expertise!

Getting together in Stockholm in September sounds great!

Me and a doc filmmaker buddy are looking for some more people to share our new office space on Söder - entrance door straight in from the street and windows facing Sofiaparken. If we're 6 people it'll be 1000 kronor/month plus utilities. Contact me asap if anyone is interested!

I'm planning to buy, but hey, I'm an independent filmmaker with an empty wallet... my order will be like sometime in the future, when the humans go into the next stage of evolution...

Hur många RED kameror kommer det att finnas i Sverige? Jag har beställt en, jag vet att Litegrip har beställt två. Få se.. det blir tre tror jag... fyra på Dagsljus, Forsberg har tre, hur många fler kan ha beställt, tio kanske? Kanske ett tjugotal totalt - det är ganska många ändå faktiskt.
 
Ja, många i början, men tänk hur det blir efter några år... RED är så billig att om alla som planerar att köpa en bil köper en RED istället så skulle det svida mindre ekonomiskt än en ny Volvo... bra deal :D
