just ran into this old letter from Steve Jobs back in the Apple I days...
reminded me of some other "involved" hardware maker...
both started small and went big...
few years later Apple is following RED by assembling their new (revolutionary ?) mac pro in the USA...
even if I leave in Europe I think this makes sense in today's world to value local production whenever possible.
Let's hope apple continues to surprise us in the future and keep Jobs's vision alive.
REDuser may not be the same without Jim posts, but Jarred now often adds the famous "..." to his new thread titles so I'm sure we are in very good hands...
and I was happy to learn Jim was still having fun at RED like making that new Shot On Dragon logo
Finally wanted to end this otherwise useless post by saying "thank you" to those few who try to making things "differently" and achieve the best they can with their full self : passion, soul, body and mind.
It's refreshing and inspiring.
