  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Dragon Skin...

Thanks for your effort Evin! Love these sneak peaks. The elevator shot is unbelivable. Can't wait to "ride the Dragon"

Hi Evin,
thank you for the great test.
did you use any secondaries in resolve (for skin qualification) . or you just achieve that result with basic primary correction?
thanks

He mentioned he did not use secondaries, just simple curves - which is why this is so exciting.

Thank you again Evin for this amazingly well-done test.

Evin,

There is a chance to get this .r3d to play with?, will be awesome.

Thanks,
Vico

you cannot get the dragonized rcx...

Gunleik is correct. This is why I requested to be able to download the original 1080p video, as opposed to the 720p Vimeo version. Nowadays, more and more what Vimeo is doing to colors during its "optimization" is not giving me such a high level of confidence of WYSIWYG.

So, I still will want to respectfully ask Evin to have the ability to download it in the original (ProRes 4X4 I think he mentioned), it it is feasible.

Thanks,

Very nice images Evin!

1) What kind of IR filtration did you use with the Dragon?

2) and What kind of IR filtration do you use with the MX normally?

Thanks!

Antoine

I would've thought dragon skin would be much more scaly.

(Sorry, I couldn't resist. I know stupid jokes do nothing for the advancement of humanity and I assure you I will punish myself later for that remark. Thanks for posting BTW)

OK, Matt Ryan came through, I'l post a link to the 1080 Prores when it's uploaded.

In the mean time here is a 5K (what I was shooting at 96FPS) 16bit DPX shot at ISO 2000 but developed at ISO 640 to hold all the fire detail, this is straight out of RCX, no manipulation...

Please do not re-post or share grades of this image!
