  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Meanwhile, the RED machine is secretly working on a burst mode for the Dragon upgrade while another team explores light field technology for the next generation of sensor codenamed "Apollo"... one can always wish and dream...
 
One of REDs pilot programs is to figure out how to send a Dragon to MARS and capture the first 6K footage of the RED planet.

Thanks for giving us a Dragon to think about for a while..wish I had one in my garage...

I think RED would be overwhelmed with volunteers, even if it was a one-way trip...

Ha ha, no it isn't my commuter car Russ, I still drive my old 07 EcoFuel Denali (even os it's a special edition) and if it was, it would have been sold to fund Rape of a beauty... ;)

I shot this at the Maranello Ferrari Museum when I went to talk to them about sponsoring my film.
 
For now, I would actually be very happy to see a 2K 4:2:2 ProRes down-ressed from 6K 2:1 RAW.
A 48fps 10 second clip would suffice. :smile5:

And a comparison to EPIC MX would be lovely.

Big guy said "Dragon is near.." I'd say before the end of this month for Dragon footage. August will give us Dragon. Remember I said it here.
Now JJ, here's your chance to make me sound cool ;-)
 
I'm impressed by Jim's courage in waiting this out. When you have the best camera on the planet already shipping, it affords you the leeway to perfect it's successor.
 
I'm in no hurry for this. I'm 100% sure this is going to be the sensor to rule them all. Its going to be a revolution in still and motion picture capture. This is going to be one for the future, so it "has to" be perfect. Take your time Red Team.
 
I think they are all on summer vacation.
