ProLine T2000 steadicam group buy - Part II

There is a special lock & unlock button at the base of the bracket. It's shown in the Liang vs Proline test that was done.

Greg I believe you are referring to the auto lock feature for the docking of the sled. The pin I am referring to is usually on the side of the bracket to hang the arm on the side of the bracket. In the video The arm was just hung from the reverse end of the bracket where you would set the rig to balancing.

GPI has a simple solution which just adds a hook to the underside of the pin

The steadicam docks use a more traditional method that I've seen more often

Ah, gotcha. My mistake, you're right though. It should be there.

Is there a monitor mount and powercable for the ikan vx7e/vx9e in the set or can we buy one from proline?

Hi David,

I remember ages ago someone mentioned that the docking bracket could have an attachment which allowed it to be attached to speaker stands instead of only C stands. Is that still going to be an option?

Will ask Luciano

You can login on the ProLine website like you did for the special red store, now being forwarded to an update page on the status of our rigs.

The production is in process.

We are working in the graphics and 3D design of the new Proline Red Special Edition, while waiting for more than 1 ton of aircraft aluminum to be deliver so we can start milling more than 15.000 parts for 50 gears.

We will update here every step of the production process .

Best regards

Luciano

Just realized something. The docking bracket doesn't seem to have a pin to hang the arm. Or was there a post about that being included?

Hi Peter, Luciano wrote me that there's a hook on the docking bracket we'll receive.

Hi Andrew, please contact Luciano at ProLine, if you want to mount it to a speaker stand. They can add the option for you for free, if you need it.

glad to see things steadily moving along :D hehe... see what i did there ;)

Excited to see whats in store for the Reduser edition, and some of the "surprise" features Luciano hinted at...

Hi there,

I just stumble upon this and after a lengthy look at all the posted information on Reduser and other blogs, just wondering what will be the price for this Group Buy and what are the items included in the package?

How can I join and pay the amount required? Can I use PayPal?

Thanks

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum but have been reading it for quite some time. This group buy really peaked my interest. Right now I'm shooting privately on a 5DMKII but will have access to a Scarlet without too much of a fuss. I've been going back and forth in my mind about whether to invest in a shoulder rig (kind of allergic to the lack of stability that goes with this kind of shooting) and after having recently shot on a cheap steadicam (have used both Wondlan and Magiqcam) I'm quite impressed with the results after some practic. The Magiqcam especially is a nightmare to dial in and has very bad support for universal monitor and battery mounting and so on but other than that the footage looks quite good (much much better with a heavier camera) and those rigs are in the same price range as a complete shoulder rig with good quality so I'm thinking I might just invest in a steadicam instead.

The tests you guys have done have helped immensely and I'm wondering if it's too late to get in on this group buy, provided the price is right?

Best Regards,
Oscar

Anyone has a update on the CAME GROUP BUY? Not sure if another thread has been created?

You can visit the original thread for updates on the asian CAME/LIANG group buy here: http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?93907-GROUP-BUY-CAME-steadycam-2-15kg-gt-1600USD
It's a bit of a long read, but you can check the last page of posts to see whats happening currently. I believe the CAME/LIANG rig is still under development and the group buy has not started yet due to changes the community has asked for. There's a pretty small trickle of information on this, so there's no telling when that will happen.

This thread is for the ProLine T2000 Steadicam group buy, which has met it's goal and has already passed.
