  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Kickstarter: iPad Ctrl Surface for Premiere, Resolve, FCPx, Speedgrade, Audition, etc

I'm trying to understand why this needs to be a kickstarter project, apparently he already has the app in working order, all he really needs to do as far as I can tell is perfect the design of the UI and submit it to the app store.
He doesn't need $32,000 to submit an app to the app store, it's $99 per year to be a part of the development program.
Just finish the damn app and submit it.

The demo is just a proof of concept and doesn't include any gesture support. 100% of money raised is going towards programming costs.

Looks like he may hit his goal a day early! :)

Thank you all for your support!

Thank you all for your support!

Hi everyone here.

Sorry I couldn't get back to you while the Kickstarter was still going - my account was awaiting approval for a few days.

But I wanted to thank you for your support and let you know I had been reading your comments here. I know many of you backed CTRL+Console and helped to make the Kickstarter a success and we wouldn't have been able to do it without you. Spoke with my developer today and development has begun!

If you have questions/suggestions or even criticism, feel free to message me or reply here.

Good to see you here Jeff. Really looking forward to the app.

It kinds looks like that huh? What I didn't go into much in the video is that what I have working is using existing apps/software (that other people have made) that give me some of that functionality but in a jury-rigged, inelegant manner. Features like gestures and modifiers aren't possible with the current jury-rigged prototype. It was enough to get the idea across of what I had in mind, but to make it with the features and UX that a pro would use, I have to redevelop the whole thing from the ground up. And to do so, it's more than I can handle, so I have to hire out and that's why we need $35,000 to develop it.

Thanks for all your help Brandon. You were on board from the beginning and put a lot of time in promoting the project. Really appreciate it.

Time for me to turn hope and vision into reality!

Jeff, the app looks great! Glad you made the goal. Can't wait to buy it.

Question: how the heck did you configure your editing monitors at your desk vertically like that? Never thought of that before...

The app is almost ready. Waiting for approval from Apple. I'm excited to try it out!
