Again, I think I'll end up wondering what was better : images I COULD shoot with a red one (already traded in...), or better images with a better camera, except I CAN'Tshoot them :-((
That's ridiculous... the feature was announced on the roadmap... toplist. It was enabled on my red one, and what's the sense of a much lighter, smaller camera if you don't enable a basic efp eng feature. Those in the wildlife field start wondering, I suppose....

We try to use timecode IN on epic X, so we use Red sync bnc cable from red with sonosax SXR4 (timecode generator) and we don't have "green timecode".
In setting , we put external TC and nothing append ...

It is possible to have a hardware problem on our epic ?

We test it with firmware 3.3.14 and 3.2.21 and same issue ...

Oh! Probably because we didn't knw these were "bug fix releases" vs. "updates", lol. Most things are actually both in one that we are used to seeing ( combo of fixes and additions). Thanks for the clarification. Now you asked for it... when is the next Major Release planned for?

I think it is just a misunderstanding about what a bug fix release is (3.3.14) and a major release is (3.4 or 4.0).

The version number follows the scheme:
MAJOR.MINOR.REVISION

Changes in REVISION number is usually just bug fixes (and possibly small new features)
Changes in the MINOR and/or MAJOR number will include new features. The difference between MINOR and MAJOR is rather subjective.

Now you asked for it... when is the next Major Release planned for?

Contact your bomb squad to file a report and ask them.

I'm quite sure you'll have to send it. Last time I had the trouble I was renting from Paris and I sent it to London. Turn aroud was incredibly fast (2-4 days).
