  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

SHOOTING an EPIC AD on an EPIC... WITH CANONS & GLASS !!!!

Noticed you took a few pages from Hovis's ad a few years back which is one of my favorite ads ever. I remember seeing it in high school for history and the mood of national and historical pride flowed just as well in your ad as it did for Hovis. Not trying to discredit you in anyway mate, you did a fine bloody job. Really beautiful stuff, and the fact that Canon glass stood up on its own is very impressive.

Thats correct, the Hovis TV ad was the motivation from the AD agency and client, they also loved it. :) Know matter hard hard I tried to get them to think of another idea.. they still wanted a person running though time.. O well. :)
I only make the ad's, not think up the ideas. So your not discrediting me at all. :)

I did it all in (SHOCK HORROR!!!!!!!!) FCP7 and the use of sapphire Genarts plugins.
Not on propose though. I did have intentions of grading in Resolve, but during my offline/online I was grading in FCP to see what I could get, then the grades were starting to take shape quite quickly to the stage I was more than happy with... so I stopped there. There was know need to redo them in another box, if I had them exactly where I wanted them anyway. I did how ever ask a colourist to balance a few shots that had alot of VFX within at the end to match my grades.
However in saying that, I set my base 2k PRORES files from a starting point of REDLOGFILM.
