All from the US....interesting.

All from the US....interesting.

It is somewhere in this thread but, i'm pretty sure the limit to US only was because of the prize amounts and US laws.

*EDIT* Found it, Jarred explains it in post #72

cool (!) ... looking forward to the spectacle!!!

Just wanted to say congrats to An Le. We definitely like his work.

Jarred may elect to send this to a new thread, but many redusers wondered about the pdf format and generating the portfolio. We are posting ours to give some insight into that process.

In keeping with the great work Adobe has been doing, we wanted to add to the cudos for one of the programs in the CS suite. After seeing Jarred's post and the entry requirements for the contest, our Managing Director was equally curious about which workflow might be best.

Turns out, we didn't have to leave the CS suite at all.

For those looking to integrate BOTH video and stills, we'd encourage redusers to check out Adobe InDesign. For the Vogue contest, we basically opened InDesign, created a new file, incorporated a design "template", and then began to place images, text, and hyper links -- include video...!

In our experience, the learning curve was pretty quick if you have a basic understanding of photoshop or some of the other Adobe interfaces.

Other cool features include the ability to choose custom layout dimensions and now in CS6, the ability to execute "liquid layouts". Liquid layout is a way cool feature. Vanity Fair is using this program to create its on-line versions of the magazine and is shown as a case study on the Adobe site.

The file is massive as you will see - about 20mb. The color and resolution adjustments are minimal when you output to pdf from InDesign. We are seeing quite a bit of difference in color from monitor to monitor...

Congrats again to An Le.

Congrats! Just Wish

Congrats! Just Wish

Congrats to all.

I just wish someone would have sent out an official confirmation e-mail. I don't even know if my submission made it. :)

It would be cool to see a few of everyone's images they sent into the contest posted here!! We can start our own exhibition!
