Cannot get audio to record or show up on the camera. I have an innocinema xlr to mini jack adapter. Checked out the continuity of the audio connections and they are good. Also checked out the wiring assignments. They are good according to the diagram I found on reduser.net. When audio recording is enabled tracks 1 and two light up and the indicator dots go green indicating that something is plugged in. However no levels show up. Tone of both line and mic level don't do anything to the level meters. Nothing comes through the audio output. I also tried putting audio through an old beachtek xlr to mini jack box I have. Nothing there either. There is no sound in the camera. Adjusted outputs, inputs, framerates, resolutions, nothing changes it. The little green lights just stare. Need a solution ASAP. Thanks.

just to be sure: Did you raise audio input levels in the System Menue? And what input source are you pluggin in? If u use some Microphones, are the properly phantom-powered by themselves? Phantom-Power is not enables on the scarlet yet.

Yeah it's coming straight off a mixer so no need for phantom power. We did play around with the system menu too and nothing doing there. We even enable and disabled the record feature to see if that might kick it in. Thanks for the advice. Every bit helps.

Hi Ben,
Could you post the link to the diagram please. I'm trying to do the same as you right now.
Thanks.

You don't specify what your input signal is, or even which mixer you are using. You also mention the use of a Beach Tek adapter, but you don't say which model, so it is impossible to identify the source of your problem. If you would like to find the answer yourself, I suggest looking there first. Know what your incoming signal is and what it should be for the camera setting you have selected.

Sometime's a reboot will reset software and clear things up. I've also had to unplug and replug mics to get audio going. Also, No audio on camera playback, need to use RCX to check audio.

When you say reboot you mean reload the firmware or turn off and back on? The turny off bit has been tried. I figured out it is a software/internal issue. If audio record is enable the camera thinks things are plugged in even when they are not. Does this call for me to redo the firmware? I eagerly await advice.
