  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

As I said, anything goes with RED, so could it be that Jarred's "Get it while you can" comment was to do with the fact that they are not re-stocking, and buy while supplies last?

We don't know, but I do see the 50mm gone even from the single listings, so it could be.

Honestly, I'm prepared to pay double what the RRP's were, for a set, just as sharp, but Faster, and of course with more properly marked Focus points,
and all lenses within the same exact size, and more particularly ton have the Absolute same Front circular size.

I know, I'm asking "Leica Summilux Cine Primes" specs here now... ;)
 
I apologize if this has been asked/answered before.

Where can I order the Pro I/O Module? Is the price still going up on March 1 even though we couldn't find the item to order? Can I still order it at the originally announced price?
 
I am sure its been asked 100 times but can find it... Jarred, you mentioned a while ago that a P/D Tap option was coming for EPIC that is "non Red Brick"

is this something that will be usable with VOLTS? Im actually loving the battery module for Scarlet... but just curious what the thoughts are on Dtap for powering accessories?

I rembember vaguely about it being a issue with the Quad module and voltage... perhaps the Pro I/O? thanks!
 
Yes -- please some info. re: D-tap would be hugely helpful. We're spending a lot of $$ right now, and essentially going down a path that will be hard to switch from, in order to power required accessories like ff motors and 2nd monitors, etc. I just had an hour conversation with a rental house over this exact point...

I would way, way rather avoid 3rd party solutions to powering RED. If there is a soon to come D-tap RED based solution I would love to learn a bit more of it...

Btw. Are you getting a set of the Leica summilux cines? Or have one already? :)

I wish that was actually true Nik since I had paid for my stage 3 before December, have had my Epic for 4 weeks now and still have not received an email about my Redmote or side handle. For some reason it seems as though my rep has been gone for the past week and a half.

Hmmm, not sure what's going on there. But they're saying it'll be out of backorder by the 26th of this month so you should get it soon!

Yeah Leica Cine Primes coming any day now... Or any Month... Or year... he he, but the good thing is that I'm pretty happy with RED glass too till they arrive... ;)

Jarred, I'm curious about the RedVolts XLs. Are the 90w single RedVolts, or will they be dual ones that fit into the Quad Module? Or are the 90w and XLs two different things?

XL's will not fit in the Side Handle. And you need the Quad Charger to charge the XLs, they will not charge on the single travel charger. Speaking of the Quad Chargers.. the new round of pre-production units came in and they are badass.... one of you guys need to put up their hands so I can let you test one of the prototypes out for a bit.
