Sooner or later comes the question:

Which bag is the best solution for me, to transport my camera equipment?

Post a picture of your bag here and tell us:

- Is it for a one day shooting or travel?
- Which equipment is inside?
- The case manufacturer (Model number).
- Is the foam self cut?

- The weight?

Or what ever you want...

KETCH, I HOPE YOU KILL ME NOT:

Thanks:thumbup:, wrong file was uploaded...

I recently picked up a Petrol 5 bag to hold my built up camera. It's tall enough for a wooden camera handle and wide enough for hand grips and a matte box to be attached. I have to take off the should pad assembly to give it ample space, but it does fit with it on. I'll use this bag in the back of a land rover or with local shooting when I need my camera ready to go. The bag itself is a bit heavy but sturdy.

For travel I have an FSTOPGEAR bag which I'll post some photos later.

Carrying lenses like the Master Primes, (Been replaced with LEICA SUMMILUX CINE PRIMES)
like this is not advisable, unless you know for fact that you will take super care of it, and NEVER, NEVER, check it in... ;)

Hi Michael,

Nice and compact config you have there.
Care to share on the exact bits and pieces?

Hi Jules, it's a mix of a bunch of things. You can find the evolution of it on the scarlet rig post. It's an Easom Optics halo cage (from my DSLR mixed with some genus parts (Mattebox, baseplate, and shoulder). Needing the top of the camera clear for the LCD, I opted not use the Easom handle (which I really like) and have now gone with the Wooden Camera handle, A-box, top plate, nato rail, and quick release back plate . I've got the Switronix v-mount, and swit batteries (non red). It's front heavy for hand held, but the few times I use it of the tripod it is ok.

Thanks for posting Michael, i have used Petrol bags and rain covers for many years and was always very happy with. The quality is great. Impressive rig by the way...

With your equipment is every day funny:-)

Great bags, unfortunately have i sold my LowePro...bad idea!

Just posted these in my "Skully" in the Scarlet section, but here are the bags and cases I use to transport my Scarlet X.

That's the Lowepro DryZone 200, Stormcase, and Cinebags CB-01 Production Red LTD Edition. The Cinebags CB-01 is my in town/location bag now:
cinebagsCB01ProductionBagLTD.jpg

Inside is: OConner O-Box WM, two GMP160Wh V-Mount Batteries, the Red Rock Follow Focus, 4x RedVolts (inside a separate pouch to not damage the camera and batteries), top handle, rods, and 5.0" LCD Touch. If configured right you can actually just plop the rig straight in the bag, which is a plus for me. Only weird bit is the bag isn't wide enough for the top flag on the O-Box so I have to remove it to and place it in the back pocket.

For Canon glass, I transport using a Lowepro Flipside 300. Gotta bunch of other Tamrac and Lowepro bags for misc stuffs.

I had that Cinebags bag at one point. I had an EX1 in it, picked it up by the strap and the O-ring busted. I hope they've improved their quality over the previous stuff I've owned.

Bag is a Lowepro PRO RUNNER 450 AW BACKPACK

Inside:

Epic- X w/ Wooden Camera Side handle, top plate, swat rail, and cold shoe.
Touch Screen
Side Handle
RedMote
Sliding Top Handle

Hoodman 5.6
Sennheiser ME66
XLR Cables/Adaptors
2x EW100 Wireless Lavs
25' Ft XLR Cable
Tiffen Screw-in Filter Kit
Allen Wrench Kit

Probably still room to fit a few more accs in this bag. It's like a bottomless pit. :ihih:

I'm thinking it might be a touch big to carry on a flight, but I bet you could get it through security.

My field production bag, totally waterproof and ready for use in my Zodiac inflatable boat, in the rainforest, near the volcano, etc.

Lowepro Dryzone 200:

Definitely going to be spending some time getting everything separated and padded out better, but at least now I know it all fits. My studio bag is next, I'm trying to use a couple of bags I already purchased,
but I get a strong feeling I'm going to want a bigger bag than I currently have so I don't have to break the rig down between setups.
