  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Innerspace case for Scarlet.

Peter thank you, but i am looking for cut foam. thanks!

Ah ok, but why? Cut it how you need it...and save money! However, is your choice:wink5:!

(I like the Cinemaoxide stuff too, but the cut is also not useful for me.)

Jairo:
This looks like a regular Pelicase 1510 or 1520, you should be able to buy them locally from a well-stocked camera shop or other type of professional supplier to the military, aircraft or diving industry. They usually also cut foam for you, or can direct you to someone who does.
So, no need to buy these items from abroad with expensive shipping!

Yes but i don't know anyone who do it here.
any idea?

A DIY hot wire cutter is easy and cheap to build. Ask google.
It's not laser, but it works great.

We did 8 pelican cases with 2 layers of foam each, glued together, because the pluck foam inserts were falling apart after only 3 months of heavy use. Now a couple of years later, the cut foam is still in perfect condition. They are being used a LOT! And hold up really really well. Most of the work goes into exact measurement and placement of your gear. Since it's foam you can always make it just a tiny bit too tight depending on the foam. Glue the layers together with special foam glue! Other stuff can melt the foam. Way better than pluck foam.

It's easier than it sounds. Just make sure you get good quality foam.

The cases you can also get from amazon as well. If not in Spain, amazon France or Germany do have them.

yes yes, i have no problem with the cases, the real problem is the cut of the foam... :(
I know there are manual options, but i would like something proffesional like that cases... :(

Hehe. The manual ones are professionally done, but I get what you mean.

Check for PA case or travel case builders. They are everywhere. Ask DJs with LP cases or sound engineers or maybe a local sound equipment vendor. Check for flight case builders. To make myself clearer, something like these guys http://www.fanesystems.com/3-4-26-producto-flight-case-fs-fcasses.html
They seem to only sell cases for their own stuff, but there have to be hundreds of case builders. Here in germany around every major city you can find some. it should be easier for you to check around in Spain. My Spanish is almost non existent. ;)

If you have the time and some cad software you can have foam cut out for you. I have been using Olympic Case out of Tampa to build both ATA and Pelican cases for me for years. I drew out a foam layout for my HPX170 and had them cut it and stick it in a Pelican 1620. The entire case cost only slightly more than just the Pelican with the plick and pluck foam. This was CNC cut foam so it wasn't as clean as laser cut but everything fit just how I wanted it to.
