hey guys, just wanted to post my new reel on here.

it's all time-lapse. there is not much R3D Scarlet footage

in there as i would like but i've only used the camera a

few times now. see if you can see which shots are done on R3D.

besides that enjoy, and thanks.

That's funny. I just noticed the cop car checking you out at 0:44.

"Excuse me officer, but I have been here for hours trying to get this one shot and if you park there much longer, my time lapse will look like a time lapse with a cop car parked on the bridge!!! Beat it."

The downside with that shot is you could see the shadow of the camera.

nice. yeah i rigged the system about 25 ft over the freeway. one of the most insane moves i've ever attempted. glad you liked it.

The color grading is great.

yeah cops are actually pretty cool on the streets. it's the building security guards that are ridiculous. they will actually try to convince you that what you are doing is illegal, even if the cops say it's cool. that's why it's always important to question authority. haha. no just kidding. there are sidewalk laws, tripod laws, and professional equipment laws. it's good to know them all.

err. there is no color grading.

amazing, truly amazing.

i just started messing around with interval shooting on my DSLR and your work is inspiring.

that was a sick edit! are you using kessler products for any of that stuff?
nice work

Really nice work. Can only imagine how much waiting that is involved, With that reel you do not need to put "good patience" on your CV.
The beginning of your reel was like nice flashback to a shot I attended for a Honda commercial that we shot downtown LA a few years back have not been there since but the light and locations looks the same.. I guess there are not to many places around there to shoot since we shot pretty much the exact same ones you did.

nice one Bjorn. definitely. one thing you'll learn after spending so much time shooting in LA is that there is definitely a filmic language that encapsulates this city. and once you learn it, you will see DP's from all over speaking it.

also tack så mycket ;) my mom was born and raised in Savedolin. i love Sweden.

I had to phone a security supervisor once to film the sky (i say "had to" in a nonsense way), because he was looking after a building infront of my tripod.. He said yes when I said "would you mind", and a guy did bring me a mobile phone from the building to speak on, so I didn't have to point out I was on public land and I couldn't g*** a **** what his supervisor thought etc

haha. oh man that sucks. that sounds like the usual scenario in Los Angeles. though a lot of shooters fear it like the plague, and rightfully so. i feel my patience wearing thin these days. to the point where my next piece has a lot of locations where the closest thing to another person is a plant.

that's story so funny. similar to a few weeks ago, actually shooting for this REEL, i was confronted by a 6'5'' security guard on a bridge. he told me i couldn't be shooting on the bridge. i knew he was coming so i asked him right away, "can i at least finish this shot, no more than 15min." he said, "no, sorry", so naturally i said, "why, if you don't mind me asking"? and he kind of looked at me perplexed and said, sincerely, "well, you can never be too safe these days, with terrorists and all." and i just looked at him and chuckled while answering, "you're joking right?" but i could see that he wasn't, and without saying another word i said, "are they looking at us right now?" and he calmly nodded his head without blinking an eye. kind of creepy as i'm typing it, but when it was happening it was just all together absurd.

just another story in the "freak kingdom"- (Hunter S. Thompson).

Funny, before I knew anything about cameras really I shot this timelapse of LA

Didn't quite have my brain wrapped around the concept of motion control yet but ya ya we deff have some similar shots in there...
