OK... here we go. Ridley Scott. Prometheus. EPIC 3D. Trailer due out this week. Incredible.

We began this journey to build cameras to change the world. I can't think of a better payoff for our efforts than to have Ridley shoot and release this movie.

Ridley is one of my all time favorites. Blade Runner is my favorite movie. Alien is all world. To have Prometheus "Shot on RED" is such an honor.

Watch.

oh freaking sweet can't wait to see the trailer!

This one excites me more than any of the other films currently filming on EPIC. Very interested to see what he does with RED :)

And Blade Runner was done without all the modern toys. What vision. I cant wait.

that's what i'm talking about. such an accomplishment to be able to say that.

real great honor for RED

Blade Runner...Alien....great films....hope Prometheus is as great, and looks even better

Yes! Blade Runner is just amazing. So many great scenes, but I just love the visuals of the scene where the replicant is running through the plastic sheeting, getting blasted. The visuals are amazing, and even more so considering when it was shot. I can't wait to see what Mr. Scott does with Prometheus.

Ridley Scott, what to say, this man in every movie he makes, never get tired of proving that he is the greatest visionary and best worlds creator ever lived. he keeps traveling between eras and discovering worlds, yet he keeps the story as real as possible and keep you attached to his films by the amazing elements he creates within the moving picture. Blade Runner (1982), an iconic film he did before i was born and until now it's my favorite sci-fi film of all time, but i'm expecting this sci-fi to kick some real ass soon. this is gotta be the biggest movie ever shot on a RED camera (and counting).

Eagerly anticipating Prometheus. A shame I would probably only get to see the PG-13 version on 2K projection here.

I had the great pleasure to meet Ridley on set of Prometheus in Iceland and then spend time with him in Hollywood. He is an incredible personality. I was so happy that he was thrilled at how Prometheus looked. It made my day/month/year/life. :-)

meeting him is one of my dreams, can't help but admitting that i'm officially jealous now :)
it's interesting also to see that most of the shots (in the trailer announcement clip) were done at night/dark, that will be interesting, to see (again) how good the mysterium-X is!

From what I have heard... no one will be disappointed in any of the story, acting or imagery. :-)

This is very cool! Congrats Jim!!!

Ridley is perhaps my biggest hero, as he gives credence to the idea of me being a visuals obsessed director. I get flak/weird looks for being one of the few Red owners with zero ambition to be an AC/Operator or DP, I want to Direct, that's it...but I am beyond obsessed with visuals, optics, cameras, all of it. And when I see Ridley I feel validation that I'm headed in an okay direction.

I'm so jealous you got to hang out with him :-)

Blade Runner was a movie the pushed me further into the realm of tech. It's definitely shaped who I am today. I can only wish that I have the same effect on others.

i think he took a very smart decision by not making a Blade runner sequel (and prequel as planned), his thoughts was always to come up with something fresh on all the levels, one more interesting thing about him is regardless of how advanced are the CGI now, he is always the "shoot it real" school.
really can't wait to see the film (and others shot on RED) on the big screen.

P.S: the hobbit announcement trailer is expected to be released today! 2012 is gonna be a very interesting year for RED and for film making.

From what I have heard... no one will be disappointed in any of the story, acting or imagery. :-)
