PRODUCT REQUEST: 15mm Lightweight support on Epic mounting Plate instead of Baseplate

Yep. This is the most urgently needed accessory. The QR system works well, but it is incomplete without being able to switch between Studio rods on the baseplate and then immediately break away with LW 15 rods. C'mon RED (or Brook)!

Is this product still in the works? (Lightweight 15mm Epic QR plate, so you can release with 15mm rods still attached.) Or did anyone else out there come up with an alternative that works with the Red QR system?

Viewfactor also has the FMJ bottom plate and 15mm bracket. I just ordered those after using a friend's... they're fantastic (and in stock!)

Bummed to have had to cancel my order for RED's modular assault plate pack but I had no other choice.

I've been using the Viewfactor FMJ for four months. The top and bottom plate have never come off the camera, even in the lightest configurations. Highly recommended.
