I've actually postponed a small short until I grab a new camera and finish up one other "little" project. It's not good logic to hold off on shooting something because of a camera release, but it's a self produced thing and a personal project.

The first thing I'll likely shoot with the Scarlet (if it is what I think it is) will likely be some VFX elements on a much larger motion picture. Gotta also do the somewhat standard keying, resolution, dynamic range, image noise tests too. But that more to understand what I can do with the tool and what it can be used for. I'm sure based on my experience with Red One and Red Epic material, we'll be fine.

I'm going straight to the Maui Humane society.. I'm going to do a remake of Boys in the Hood but with cats. It's going to be Epic!, I mean Scarlet...

But first of all, I need a RED Scarlet in my hands.
Keep up the good work, REd Team.

Unfortunately the Scarlet will most likely miss my production trip to the middle-east in late November but I'll be sure to bring the cam to our Japan shoot in spring 2012. I'm hoping they're announcing an S35 version as well since that would be far more desired than the 2/3" version but hey, either one will be fun to play with.

If I got a dollar for everytime I postponed a shoot because a new camera/lens etc... was coming out I could... well.... but a new camera :-)

Do you really mean "What will be your first Scarlet project"?

So you can choose all? What kind of movie is that? I guess it should be projects or it have to be a Bollywood production=)

Since I cannot be sure exactly when my Scarlet arrives its hard to tell what will be the first project I will be using it for. I think you should corporate to the list aswell.

Ive been working on a full length feature for the past year. I would love to finish it with the Scarlet. I told the guys in it that if I get the scarlet in time we might have to reshoot the entire movie.

Lol Patrick. Understand!

Bar any major hiccups and excluding of course extensive camera and make up tests - I will be shooting my first feature.

Sports, sports and maybe some more sports.

That 120fps is going to be so nice!

Experimental DSMC fine art gallery projects for digital displays. Just going to play with it for a while.

What ever is next in our production line-up :)

May do a quick test short film just cause. Eventually I would like to try 3D but I have some ideas on how to do that with maybe just one camera.
