Must be slightly different for the Scarlet. Maybe built into the body rather than a module? The SSDs themselves still say they are Scarlet compatable, so they can be used one way or another.

It never stated that it was for the Scarlet also. I figured the modules differ because of the different designs. Besides, I'm pretty sure they'll sell the Scarlet with the side module. I guess we'll be certain Nov. 3rd. ...

And the side handle doesn't show the compatibility list. Can't really buy ahead with Scarlet. November 3 is going to be climactic.

Exactly, I'm pretty sure the side handle and SSD module were supposed to be for both Epic and Scarlet, either it has changed or they removed any further knowledge on Scarlet details in lieu of the Nov. 3rd thing. Otherwise wouldn't these items be called "Epic Side Handle" "Epic SSD Module" ?

Yes I know we are digging! But it's fun!

The eerie thought of falling very far on the list will make many of us buy after an instant of Scarlet being available, it's going to be very difficult to buy something other than a "package" straight away, and then, later, accessories, after the initial purchase, and having understood things like in this thread are being questioned...it's quite ridiculous considering that for many of us, it means a lot of money. I hope "the package" will consider the hastiness of the situation...

I'm imagining some sort of built in SSD, SSD x2, SSD + CF bay being built in. The module may get a different version even for Scarlet. I think Scarlet will still be considered modular, but I think it's easier to get into the hands of more "common folk" with the tires strapped on at the get go.

I think that one of the big changes is that scarlet and epic accessories will now coexist. One line of accessories is much more efficient than two separate systems (if its possible).

Very ready for Nov 3rd.

Jarred posted some time back that the side CF and SSD modules for Scarlet would be mechanically different due to the difference in body size. Functionally the same as Epic, slightly different physical package. Don't know if this applies to the side handle too.
