  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Half a Pound.....

Super Cool , (pun intended)

Curious... was this the result of losing a supplier (japan tragedy) and finding another supplier that just happened to have this superior (lighter) product?
Or is this the result of the current suppliers innovation ?

This was the direct result of having some of the best engineers on the planet working at RED. Pure and Simple.
 
Good news. 4lb...is that body only, or with the PL mount on? I can't tell from the pic.

Does anyone with an Epic-M have a handle on what the weight would be for a basic lightweight config? (say body, prime, SSD module, pl mount, side handle with redvolt and LCD)

Im really curious to know how this will feel and whether it's practical to use handheld for a while with all the gubbins attached.
 
This is the only time when less "Brain" is better..
 
Are they also working on the RED Scarlet body ?

1/2 pound means 5 pounds less jib weights to tire my crew. Means possible passage under the threshold of Steadicam Tango compatibility... Means a lot of things that are a lot more than what 1/2 pound sounds like.
