  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Black MAgic hits Hard with FREE Version of Resolve + version 8.0 goodies

I was blown away with how cool Resolve 8 looks, didn't even realise a free version was coming! That is so awesome!

There are some awesome things on the main BMD site too - the Ultrastudio 3D (Thunderbolt to 2x HD-SDI and 2x HDMI) looks awesome!

Combined with this announcement, this is "industry standard creating" news.

"Advanced OpenCL image processing has been incorporated into DaVinci Resolve 8, and this allows a broader range of GPUs to be used for real time processing up to 1080 HD resolutions."

Unbcompressed 10bit SSD recorder for $350, perfect for backups as well

Resolve Lite for free, supports x1 RED ROCKET.

Decklink 4K. Impressive. And MC Color now works with Resolve 8.

Way ahead of the game with features and prices
Resolve 8.0 multi timeline conform tool, noise reductions, open CL

OpenCL... so nice especially with Lion supporting all the high end ATI cards.

I just finished watching the Resolve demo. Knowing with Resolve 8 I can use ATI or NVidia cards, and control it with MC Color panel, I'm in.

Unless of course FCS 4 has something better!

I remember when the first Decklink card was launched, back them it was revolutionary and today feels exactly the same, Grant Petty I salute you sir!

NAB 2011 is going to blow your mind

Best wishes

Scott

scratch on mac is slated to be almost 18 thousand dollars. not saying it won't be worth every penny, but way beyond my budget at the moment.

let's hope all this BM hardware is, and stays rock solid and reliable. BM FTW

Saw the demo on the show floor.

You guys are gonna like it.

Multi layer, Noise reduction, green screen keyer, and hue curves.

LOL

Having not used Resolve yet does anyone know if the demo video HERE is showing Resolve 8?

any film grain emulation? would be great if they had filtering to add grain to taste, of different size, and amount.
