We replaced release Build 30 v30.6.12 with v30.7.0 and beta Build 31 v31.6.12 with v31.8.10 on RED.com. Starting tomorrow, all new RED ONE MYSTERIUM-X cameras will ship with v30.7.0...

See release history or readme files in download for changes since last releases.

ALWAYS READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THE DOWNLOADED INSTALLATION FILES BEFORE PROCEEDING.

WARNING: AS BUILD 31 IS A BETA BUILD, THIS FIRMWARE IS RECOMMENDED FOR PREVIEW AND TESTING PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR USE ON COMMERCIAL PRODUCTIONS.

NOTE: After upgrading firmware, a BLACK SHADING calibration should be performed. Detailed instructions are contained in the Operations Guides on RED.com.

If you have any questions or feedback, please contact RED Technical Support.

For release build, mainly enhanced REDMAG support. For beta, check those release notes :)

Can you please tell us more about this -->

  • Support for .RMD files generated by REDCINE-X
Does this replace or enhance the existing "save look to camera"?

Thank you red team as always for the ever developing camera that keeps on getting better n' better. Very happy that the camera user/action guides are now recorded as metadata.

BTW one thing I would love to see in a future build is allowing the multi view (Goal Posts/Focus Assist/False Color) and image zoom to be triggered via GPO. This would make a lot of AC's very happy.

AWESOME 3d USB fixes!!!!!!! (in beta 30.8.10) Cheers to Red!

The 3d wb/tint and many other issues are frigging huge! The USB feature is so cool and once tuned to perfection it will be soooo bitchen!

I will be testing this build on my 3d rig tomorrow afternoon! I cant wait, I an so excited about tis one!

Once again - Thanks much guys!!!!

Prost,
Rich

after installing beta build and black shading, no more image on lcd.
same here:

I just made a bad experience with the new BETA firmware 31.8.10 After “Black Shading” and a reboot of the Camera – I don’t get a image shown on my LCD display. It stays just black… no histogram is shown but RAW Level Meter and RAW Clip Level Bar seem to work. Strange… . After restore to 30.07.0 everything seems fine again….

all fine, got the image back.

on 31.8.10 ??? how?????

What is the "improved" or "enhanced system performance" on 4k 16:9 of the beta build, exactly?

Thank you.

Jeremy

Same here. One of my reds is just fine on 31.8 but my earlier camera is not putting an image on the LCD nor out the HDsdi.

Several installs with inconsistent results.

I do have to say the new 3D stuff is very cool! When I get an image it will be awesome!

Did you guys reporting issues send in a LOG file ?

Log file sent! 31.8.10 is a great build for us 3D guys. I really look forward to it working.

For those watching- build 30.7 seems to be very happy!

I noticed that with build 31.8.10 the camera generated .RMD files as its look file. With 31.6.15 it generates .RLK files once again (as it did in prior builds). I've just packed it away but with the notes saying the 31.6.15 build supports RMD files from RedCine-X, is this currently for import only? Or is it a typo that carried over from the 31.8.10 build?

I also experienced the black image screen on 31.8.10 before reflashing and having no issues, so I'm wondering if it wasn't due to the RMD look type and too-early (by accident) implementation of RC2/RG2 without the camera's firmware properly being able to map the RAW output to screen, leading to the black image? Just thinking out loud here....

Anyway so far 31.6.15 is working fine in the small amount of testing I did.

Thanks for the updates, especially with Epic being the focus of efforts recently.

Cheers from Japan,

Paul

So what's with build 31.8.10? Can't find it anymore!
Are there any known problems with 31.6.15?

Best, Gerhard
