  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Considering of selling my set of 10 Leicas Van Dimen set.
15mm T3.5 L 980701 6.5" 83.5mm
19 mm T 2.8 * L980703 12' 80mm*
21mm T4.5 * L980121 9' 80mm
24mm T3* * * L990505 7" 100mm
28mm T3 L980710 7" 80mm
35mm T 1.6* L20011 8.5" 80mm
50mm T1.6 * L980723 15" 80mm
75mm T1.6* L 980726 18" 80mm
100mm T2.8 L960325 40cm 96mm
135mm T2.8 * 970630 16" 83.5mm
The 100mm and 135mm are macros. The 100mm is in metric while the others are feet. The last numbers at each row is the front diameter of the lens.
Anyone interest please PM me and I will send more photos.

I don't want to break the set. This set is much more effective as a whole.
I want to keep the 100 or 135 as they are macro so if you already have the 135 this is perfect as I will exclude it from the set and you will have a terrific 9 lenses set (10 with the one you already have).
These lenses have close focus and are FF35. In fact I think Mitch from Abel Cine rent praised them for their wireform more than once and said they are covering Vistavision.
 
Correct. Lovely glass that covers VistaVision.
 
Yeah, I had a project that I had to finish writing up and I was "relaxing" by catching up with REDuser. Kept me up an extra hour.

This is a great set of lenses everybody. Don't break them up -- someone should buy the set and go with it. If we didn't already have our own I'd jump on it myself. Just look at the range of focal lengths!
 
What price do you want for the whole set? In other words, how much money would someone have to give you, for you to give them the complete set in exchange? Like in, if I said I'd give you $X for the whole set and you said OK, what is X?
 
Mitch, you are killing me!
Now I don't want to sell it.
It is just that that since I also carry a set of Cooke S4 and Angenieux 17-80 not so many DP use it here (Israel). Producers? Most of them don't even care they will take what is cheap. So I find there is not much use for this great set with its great range.
I attach images of the 35mm lens.
For serious buyer I will supply good pictures of each lens in the set.
I also will reduce the price as i want to keep one of the macros, the 100m my Cooke S4 135mm is also macro, as to have a true macro lens in my arsenal.

Reduce what ? How much ?
 
Do you know the history of these lenses please? Is the red logo a lozenge with (vfg) within it? How many have this lozenge. Only 6 sets were ever made for vfg and they all were matched factory glass. The rest are not the same factory glass. All the vfg should have the same front dia. and have a wizz color ring around the barrel.

Tony, I am out of my country for a shoot so I will be able to check all this only Thursday when I be back and have a break from shooting days.
The 100mm and the 28 I bought later and separately.
Some of the lenses have a VFG logo, don't remember exactly which but will look and will post photos.
The 15mm and 135mm have a 83.5mm front diameter
19mm 21 28 35 50 75 all have 80mm FD
24mm has 100mm FD
100mm has something like 98mm
I used an Arri LMB-5 all the years I had them with three plates size to cover the range. The only one that didn't totally fit was the 100mm but one round of tape solved it.
I will post more info and send specific info to serious buyers in a few days.

These are all have the VFG red color logo. They also have the Van Diemen "signature" I attach a few pictures.
I didn't check the 100mm since I will keep it.
