  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Keslow Camera + 5

If one camera gives you 2D, and two cameras give you 3D, do five cameras give you 6D? Have fun Robert!

Maybe you join the 5 cameras together into a super-wide panorama! Now that'd be cool to see - I bet it would be highly immersive.

Nice! I can't think of a better place to have the most Epics.

I love the R1 on the shelf. There's a great story behind that body... :)

My friends at the Peppermill casino (Lonny dill here on Reduser) did a lot of 3 cam panorama with their previous rig. They have 3 reds but don't know if they have done panoramas with them.

Panorama would be the most likely use for center right left cameras. I will be making a 3 cam panorama plate on our cnc once my epic arrives. Probably with 3 14mm Nikon mount sigmas since I already have 2 of them.

Keslow Camera has always been the go to rental house from day one... every time I walk in to their place it's all about "RED" - great staff, awesome service, enough said.

This is the first time that I have seen someone employing top rods on the Epic. Who is currently making the top mounts? Red? ET?

I'm sure I speak for everyone here at Keslow Camera when I write that we are EXTREMELY proud to have been a part of this great community for the past number of years, and excited to be early adopters of these new EPIC-M™ bodies.

We've already worked our EPIC's on a number of high profile jobs (including a 3D feature shooting til May which has been discussed on these boards), and have a network television pilot & huge European luxury car shoot that start up next week among other projects committed to shoot on EPIC.

To answer your question, Peter, we actually designed and machined some adapters in house to use all of the same accessories we use to kit out our RED One M-X™'s - accessories that are proprietary to Keslow, and some from Element Technica, among others.

In doing so, an AC who's used our RED's can walk up to our EPIC's and not have to rethink how they'd rig it up.

Just got 'em ... and they're already up on the rental page!

HM, the -M rollout is certainly gaining momentum.

Makes one wonder if that makes the wait for -X shorter or longer.

Anyhow:
Congratulations.

All reports apprechiated!

Cheers!

I'd like to think that they're learning how to do 'em better and faster, thus leading to a more efficient Epic-X assembly line. It's a constant battle to shave seconds off the process time in manufacturing facilities.

No doubt that Robert and the gang will be putting those cameras into A LOT of very capable hands...
