and hey... I know a guy, who knows a guy that has access to a nice bright T420 4k projector and a 40 foot screen when you are ready to see it in all it's glory :-)

Tom,

On top of the technically beautiful pictures thanks to the Red team ;), I really love the camera movement and framing... from the open to the very last shot!

Cool. Well edited. Could you please make a better compressed 1080p version available for download?

Very, very nice. It's such a shame that H.264 compression does that to such wonderful images..
Every codec breaks down if you lower the bit rate too much. This can be compressed visually losslessly in 1080p with h264, just not at these low bit rates.
Wait a minute. This is supposed to be ~30 Mbit/s? That should look better, especially the fade in which is riddled with artifacts. At least on the "live" version.
If one can download the file I suppose it looks quite some better?... Yes, it does. Compression nasties gone.

Graeme, your math is poetry, man.
someone had to say it, absolutely.

Congratulations Tom, you're an incredible light finder.

Vico.

Now we're talkin! :cheers2:

I'm working on a 4K version of this video now. Hopefully might have it uploaded by tomorrow. Just trying to find the right codec to use, where to host it, etc.

Great stuff Tom!!!

What about YouTube 4K ???!!!

...and love the way you tracked the birds in flight!!

The unwritten rule is to track object following its native speed because if you track a bit faster or slower than a sort of motion "stutter" starts immediately.

Also there is just one shot with a slow motion "stutter" issue at Tom's newest video...
