  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Mike Seymour

1. No idea. Wish I did though.
2. Chopper ;)

Can we expect a new DOP class in the future then?! How to shoot in a low flying chopper being the main topic of the course?

It is so nice to see Ted hands-on.

Mike, that shot of the trees is spectacular in its balance, simplicity, and sheer degree of normalcy. It's like there is nothing weird about it, hehehe. Wow.

I am starving for HDRx motion. Can't wait to see what you are putting together!

I'll skip the quiz and ask a counter question: Who makes that gyro?

Mini Gyro by Tyler. Excellent rental rates.

Oh, and the quiz!
1. A very happy guy.
2. A highly modified Fiat 600.

I know I got at least one of them right.

The tree shot looks absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see more.

I noticed some solarization in the lens flare. It looks like the X track got data, but since it was in the flare, it was desaturated in comparison to the M track. I wonder if there would be a way to measure the color/saturation of both images and keep the data with the most saturation. Out of my depth here, and it will be interesting to see how the HDRx™ processing develops over time.

And the answer is....

And the answer is....

After enjoying a great afternoon back in the sky on the south island, I can confirm the correct answers:

1. Stu Maschwitz
2. Helicopter

As a bit of perspective, here's a bit more of the scene with Stu that I filmed from the co-pilot seat earlier today
