  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Ok One more before I go back on location.

This from before we left Sydney, with someone you guys know.

We spend the day on wires - high in the mountains - flying through trees at up to 70Km/hr - with the EPIC filming in HDRx 48 fps - 5K FF !

Hmm that is looking nice Mike!

Ha. Tom looks pleased as punch in that shot :)

I shot a good part of a movie in a sunny pine forest. ("Acolytes")
It's one of the trickiest tests you can find for dynamic range.
I'll be interested to hear tour thoughts about the results.

Geez, this looks really good. We know you're most likely busy, but if you happen to get some extra time to post it, it would be amazing to get to mess around with this .R3D in RCX.

Looks like some great images are coming out!

NZ looks amazing Mike... with all of us just starting to learn what the EPIC is capable of in so many shooting scenarios, it's really stirring to see these quick frame grabs of such fantastic images... can't wait to see them on the big screen in 4k!

Nice stuff Mike, I see you have wasted no time at all getting her to work. Looking forward to seeing the footage.

Well Greg, once I heard you were near an EPIC-M we knew we had t lift our game!

Just getting ready to head out for today's shoot, - after last nights car Gyro tests.
Today is one of our hardest shoot days.

Mike

Very happy faces..Mike & Tom. :D

I am curious how it hold up on diffrent grip, heads etc.
If I may ask what is that gyro support?..I asume the weight (depanding on lens) would be in the same ballpark as a Scarlet will be.

Can't wait to see more at FxPhd next term!!!

Which handheld rig is this?

Seriously though, love seeing stuff like this. All the BTS stuff of Ms in the wild and being used in so many ways is great.

Of course, looking forward to that footage, too!

We just came in from this mornings shoot - we head out again in a few hours for Magic Hour... but we have a clip we are preparing that will blow your minds - We all just laughed out loud when we saw it back. We'll post it soon. Insane clip.

Thanks Mike for keeping all of us updated with your adventure. I look forward to the clip. The HDRX shot of the trees has by far been my favorite, what a great example of the new tool!

Spot quiz :

1) Who is in this photo shooting?

2) What craft were we in when this was taken today?
