  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Corporate espionage is rather out of question.
You can buy EPIC just in a few months and I do not think any company capable of producing EPIC would risk criminal charges for 3-4 months to market advantage or 50K-100K savings.

Certainly this incident adds a historical value though if camera will be found and returned to Mark:-)

The most important thing is that Mark and his family are unharmed.
 
I do not usually write but this deserves a few words of solidarity and encouragement to help overcome this bad phase.

I hope that people who did this do not escape unpunished.

I am still worried about you guys. Are you getting out of there, or moving to safer quarters? For people that do not know what they took, they seemed to have taken the ENTIRE KIT and did not miss a thing.

Assume the worst in this case, and be safe.

The people that did this had balls the size of cars.. And that's a scary thought. To break into a FULL HOUSE. The odds of someone not waking up and hearing them.. In some ways I think you were very lucky.

And I say this with my heart.. I really hope this person/s is caught and we all get a few minutes to beat the ever loving shit out of them.

And we'll film it with #0006.

Could not have said it better, thank goodness you guys are ok. I had same thing happen to me in my Brooklyn apt and I know the feeling. You will get it back Mark.
 
Terribly circumstances, to be sure, though I am glad that everyone made it through without a scratch.

I certainly hope #6 finds its way back to you and Offhollywood, Mark.
 
This being an important camera, wonder if your insurance company would consider posting a reward for the return of the camera, no questions asked? If they are merely thieves, this is a business for them to steal stuff to make money. They would probably be happy to trade the camera for cash.
 
WTF ! This is unbeliveable. This world is going to a very bad place.
 
Theft off a set is one thing, but a home invasion burglary is completely different. This could have ended much differently.

If RED was to put up $100,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of this gang, there would be a virtual worldwide dragnet looking for this crew and the camera. The message would be loud and clear: "Don't even think about stealing a RED."

I sincerely hope that whoever stole the Epic gets what they richly deserve. It is clear they've got a really "hot potato" on their hands with nothing but trouble to be gained from their stupid actions.
 
I'm with Jay and still worried about you and your families safety. It would be stupid to try anything considering the heat that is on them, however I've met some pretty crazy people in pockets of the world in my time and I understand only too well nothing is unimaginable.

I think that's a slippery slope for a manufacturing company. Sure, Mark was an early adopter, but there are MANY important people using and waiting in line to use, this camera model. Does RED set itself up as a nanny-cam company?... Or does it let the buyer take responsibility after the camera is out the door?

The message could also be interpreted by thieves as an invitation to steal a Red and fake recovering it to collect $100K.

I am glad to hear that all are safe. Being robbed is one of the worst feelings to feel. I am so happy the kids and adults are all safe.

You and the family are unharmed. The rest will eventually be nothing more than a story.

That being said, I am anxious to hear of the capture and subsequent rotting in jail of said thieves.

Mark, this just sucks. I was living through you for the past few weeks. Hope in the end all turns out well. Your family is safe, so that's a great start.
 
Unbelievable... Sorry for your loss and the hurting experience, but i'm glad everyone is okay.

There is no need to think you had let down RED & community. Forget that, it's not your fault, there's nothing you've done wrong!

I hope they'll find and give them what they deserve.

Having been Rubbed and shot before, I'm honestly happy that no one got hurt, considering hat they were so many Children in the house!!

So very sorry Mark that you were victim of such Act, and that you lost a Precious piece of property.

But again happy that no one got hurt, truly hope the camera gets recovered, but I know that Financial losses will remain there as Insurances do not cover Cash.

But also is not just about the material things lost, is also about the Mental aspect in which one is left to deal on the after math of such events,
and in this I fill for you, knowing already what must be going on in your mind, or at list part of it.
