  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The Hobbit...

Congratulations Jim, and everyone at Red who has contributed to making this happen!!

Jim, it seems like you're having too much fun to think about retiring.

Very exciting. Congratulations to all of you. I remember Jackson's red day clip, where he's raving about driving out in the morning and filming with his RED One, untethered, all by himself. One could almost grab how grateful he was for the opportunity -- in the form of a camera -- to shake off a production environment, if only for some morning hours, and go back to something he seems to be very fond of.

Kudos for pulling it off. Hundreds of crucial decisions to make, thousands of details to get just right, a billion bits to flip. And not flinch once? Very inspiring, indeed. After being skeptical last year, about the ambitious scope of the platform, I think I'm going to be a fan for the rest of my life.

and shooting slow-motion with Epic @ 120 fps "how the huge tiger sharks on the fly jumping out of water in a way of the hunting young Albatross birds at the South Pacific Ocean"***

all that using 600mm EF telephoto lens from Canon.

And of course simultaneously Jim is singing his favorite song "What A Wonderful World" lyrics by Louis Armstrong, smiling and smoking "Cohiba" Cuban cigar :sifone:.

Well, Frazier and I could take him to tiger beach in the Bahamas and shoot tiger sharks up close and personal from a foot away with an 8mm. And an hour into port for all the legal Cuban cigars u want! :-)

This is awesome!

right on RED! this is great news! i'm definitely going to see this in IMAX 3D! maybe after the Hobbit mr. Jackson can do Halo :D

Congratulations indeed! A major coup.

The word "congratulations" doesn't even begin to sum up my feelings on this. You guys have rocked it yet again.

I've suspected it for a long time... but seeing it in writing has made my whole day. The floodgates have opened yet again.

"Congratulations," guys!
