  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

New CS5 Support

Put the update on; everything looks a bit nicer.

The picture quality appears improved to me (at least on the overlay). The layout of the source settings is much tidier with all the nice improvements to the interface.

Hardware acceleration on the output is now crashing my computer/display when output instead of just being slower. It does mention in the bug fixes the hardware acceleration has been fixed for output.

Be interesting if the Rocket guys can comment.

In my view it's a significant improvement that one becomes able to read RMD files into PPro. This means, one may color grade in Redcine-X, store the RMD file, and use the same grading when editing in PPro.

I heard, Color Finesse III now supports the Tangent Wave control surface.

How about control surface support for Premiere and AE (Like Euphonix MC control and ControlMiX)?

That's the coolest update ever..
now Pre-grade your files in REDCINE-X then continue with what you did in CS5.. like butter.. :emote_happyhappy:
would like to here experiences with Rocket..

8 Pages of bugfixes in the release notes PDF. This is crazy!

I hope this isn't the last update from Adobe for CS5.

I'm liking all the image sequence bug fixes and the crop video effect bug fixes. I kept on reporting those to Adobe when I would run into them.

Don't forget if you run into bugs with any Adobe software, and you can reproduce it well, try writing a bug report here:

Did we ever see such frequent updates and well-reported fixes and changes for FCP?

Did we ever see such frequent updates and well-reported fixes and changes for FCP?

Well, FCP 6 to FCP 7 seems like a minor update in comparison to PPro 5.0.1 to 5.0.2. But, hey, this is not an FCP forum! It is great to know Adobe are committed to CS5.

For those who aren't on CS5, here's the new Source Settings panel with RMD and Rocket support options (I don't have a RedRocket so it's greyed out in my case):

Cheers,

Hey Paul, where are you finding those settings? I'm not seeing anything like that.

I'm running fx 4800 plus the rocket card.

tks. Grant

We're glad you like it.

We're glad you like it.

> Can't wait for the AE update. Red Rocket support too?
Though I won't comment on what is in a specific future release of After Effects, I will say that you should stay tuned.

I'll be announcing the After Effects CS5 update on my After Effects blog:
http://blogs.adobe.com/toddkopriva

For those who missed it, here's the link to the details of the Premiere Pro CS5 (5.0.2) update on my Premiere Pro blog:

Thanks Todd... Will Stay tuned
Any idea? control surface support for Premiere and AE (Like Euphonix MC control, MC Color and MC MiX)?

Full debayer realtime .R3D playing on the timeline... Very exiting and I'm not even an editor!

how many tracks? app respnonse? does the rocket output work while you adjust source settings?
can you make a screen capture to preview what's happening with the rocket? I know this too much to ask.. but, if you are willing to do so, its much appreciated..

Thanks
