Hey Jim, welcome back!
Very glad to hear that you are well.
Please don't worry about us. The MX is a fantastic camera, and I'd personally rather get my Epics as close to perfect as they can be. I'm happy to wait.
Keep working the problem; I'm sure your team will fix it in time.
Thank you for the update.
Cheers,
Harry

I am in for the long haul. However, honestly beyond tech and exciting and amazing times the most important thing is to be healthy and happy and I wish you only the best and most success in that area.
With that, the rest will all fall into place. Glad you're back, rested and healthy.

Welcome back Jim...

Could any of your team give us an idea about the severity of the problems with the Scarlet manufacturors. Is this a huge issue, or something we shouldn't concern ourselves with to much?

Here's the patch you should adorn your SWAT team's uniforms with (from the movie "Aliens"):

I'll leave it up to you to decide which "species" of camera you are endangering.... :D

Cheers from Tokyo!

Welcome back. Glad to know you have recovered and that it was nothing too serious. Getting old is a bitch.

Scarlet is well worth the wait IMO. Good luck on finding a new manufacturing partner if it comes down to that.
You obviously have exceptional abilities when it comes to building companies and hiring talented, motivated people. I'm sure Red will be a successful and robust contributor to this industry for many years to come. No one has done more to change the production landscape in such a brief time.
I was talking with a product engineer recently about a new RF distribution amplifier that very tight manufacturing tolerances. It was too sophisticated for his Chinese partners to consistently meet the specification, so he found a company in Florida to make it instead. Maybe you can find someone here.

We love our M-X. . . the delay is of no consequence to us. Epic and Scarlet will come when they come.

And we're glad to have you back, Jim. Stay well.

Stephen

Jannard, i am sure that you guys will solve this problem soom, what you've done with redone is epic and what you will do with epic is epic too ;)
cheers!

Welcome back Jim.

Give us better product than half-baked one. Its terrible to see the activities of other companies affect company like RED whose sole aim to democratize Media industry (Feature Films, TVC, Documentary, TV Shows etc.,)

Make sure you be prepared well for SCARLET, as the whole world is ready to grab it like what Canon 5D mark II is currently selling like hot cake in the market.

Life is short. People are measured by what they do... and not what they say they are going to do. So trust me when I tell you I will not rest until we do what I said we will do.

Jim

No doubt.

Full confidence.

Best Wishes

Welcome back Jim . Be carefull and don't rush into things so your health stays ok.

Thanks for the update , it's a little sad, but I'm sure your team and you will fix this.

And we all hope to have working bugfree camera's that don't need to ship back after some use. Take the time it needs to fix it properly.

We stay loyal.

Good luck.

Great attitude - I wish the rest of corporate America and our politicians had that same attitude!

The MX sensor is keeping us more than happy in this little corner of the world. Happy to wait for a 100% Bug Free camera. Just dont kill yourself doing it!!

Just exciting to be in the loop! Welcome back Jim, can't wait to hear more about the process, and the struggle! Break a leg!

Looking forward to my stage 2 epic whenever she's ready.

Cal

I wish we all could help... But better a working BUG free camera than one with problems...
Welcome back and I (and all the others I thing also) will stay here until the product (RED Scarlet for me) is ready for production...

Can I also add that I'd love to see an ethical product as well as a finished product Jim. If you need to take your time finding a supplier for Scarlet take that time. Don't compromise in the name of time, make the best product you can and we shall buy it, that goes for most things RED has announced and made.

Any RedRay Pro updates?
