Hi All Red Users!

I am happy to announce that we have a new plugin available for Premiere Pro CS5 and After Effects CS5. We now support Mysterium X and the latest Color Science. This includes new user interface support for flut, shadows and new color spaces.

There are also a bunch of bug fixes and other enhancements. We worked very closely with RED on this release and we are continuing to work closely with RED.

We are very excited to be able to get this update to you so soon after a major release. We have lots of exciting RED changes planned for the future so stay tuned.

The plugins are available here:

http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/red3importer.html

PLEASE PLEASE read the installation instructions carefully.

Much more info on the post is here:

Very Excited... latest Color Science.... Wohooo
Thanks dave... About time..
Downloading....

good work, Adobe - Apple has about 6 weeks to pull their shit together before I kick 'em to the curb once and for all...with the headstart they had, as an original partner with RED, their performance is ludicrous. I hate losing the hundreds of dollars worth of FCP plug-ins, but Adobe seems to be getting more committed to a solid RED workflow every day.

the stuff you guys have bundled into the latest release is ridiculously great.

I second that. We're currently testing the Adobe RED workflow. If it works like I think it will we'll move all of our edits suites to PPro and shave days off of each of our projects.

Thanks for making RED post finally work, Adobe.

I have to tell you Adobe guys, that I couldn't choose Premiere back when I made my commitment to an editing system, (Premiere 4.0 days.) but I like what I'm seeing these days. Keep up the good work! You have my attention again. ;-)

David - Just curious if this new plug-in allows Adobe products to use the color grade metadata created in Redcine-X? I would love to be able to grade in RCX and see those changes reflected in PPro and AE. If it doesn't, any chance of seeing this at a later date?

We just started looking at adding this support... Will most likely show up in the future...

Cheers

Wow! this is some really good news Dave,
Thanks.
Ppro Cs5 has been growing on me, everyday as I continue to read the Manual and find short cuts to do stuff. Keep it up.

Cheers

Thank-you adobe.

This is fantastic. PP5 is very exciting and now with the FLUT and SHADOWS i dont feel im missing out on any of tools created for raw shooting. Thanks again and thanks for the clear install instructions.

yup. I already decided to make the switch. I knew the day was coming 6 months ago when I went with the AE version of an NR plugin instead of the FCP version.

Just the fact that Adobe has a presence on the forum means a ton. Red Rocket and RC-X metadata support would be amazing...

Thank you David. Now all I need is CS5 support for RED Rocket. Will the wait be weeks instead of months, perhaps?

Keep up the good work. I've been a premiere and afx user for about 6 years, had to move to edius due to the a sudden lack of cheap HD support, but I'll get back on board with the new nehalems and nvidia 5800 for sure.

Would love to hear about a sollution to sync easily external audio to the r3d files
( in case this doesn't exists right now .....???)

I know if you use cineform your asked if there's external audio, but have no idea to handle with premiere right away. If someone could help on this one??
