Our feature film that I am shooting/producing and Rick Darge is directing began production 2 weeks ago. We just released our first behind the scenes update videos and will be releasing new episodes 3 times per week. EVERY MONDAY, WEDNESDAY and FRIDAY! For our 4 weeks of production...

What influenced your camera choice more? Production or post? A little of column A, a little of column B?

And wow, I didn't know Rick was getting any known actors to work in this. I think Kyle is pretty talented! Also, let Rick know that many of us miss him here at RU.

Guys, this is a Red forum . Why are you showing stuff shot on the Alexa?
Is there something extraordinary about your behind the scenes footage?

The Red team works really hard and I find it insulting to post videos clearly shot with another system.
It is not in the spirit of this website.

Because there were a lot of folks that contributed to this Kickstarter campaign here on Reduser. Why would you be insulted by the fact that Rick decided to go another way as far as cameras are concerned? They are obviously trying to continue to fullfill their responsibilities to those that donated. If you don't like it, don't watch.

Rick was talking about his project on REDuser long before this video was posted. Why would anyone find another camera system insulting? Many films mix both Alexa and Epic. I don't think the video was centered around the Alexa, so much as a couple excited filmmakers eager to show their progress which I appreciate and enjoyed.

I've only watched the first vlog, but I don't think the video or this post endorses Arri nor does it degrades RED in any way. Camera aside, there's a wealth of knowledge that can be picked up here. I'll be tuning in just to see their progress, and if I can pick up a thing or two to help me be a better filmmaker... then isn't this what the spirit of this forum is all about?

I wish I can watch BTS vlogs of all my favorite movies... that would be dope.

I know things got a little tense right before Rick got banned here, but all that aside and putting aside cameras of choice for this particular movie, the thing is he's making a movie on a shoestring budget and it will be inspiring to those who might be in a similar situation. It might be someone here on Reduser who has a Scarlet and some cool ideas and is just looking for some insight on how to get their project off the ground.

Yeah, despite the fact that it might have been shot on Epic if Rick wasn't Banned, makes no difference to the fact that they are doing it, and it should be "CONGRATULATED" no matter what, and even so I for one, think Alexa belongs only in TV... I applaud their doing and wish them the very best, because making a Movie is not an easy thing to pull off!!

Also, the fact that they chose Alexa vs. RED, might not have anything to do with the fact of Rick getting Banned, and all to do with what they could get for little to nothing, as their budget is well, no existent rally, so good on them again for pulling it off and again, GOOD LUCK!!
