Zeiss Standard Speed T2.1 8mm

Hello,

I have two questions considering Zeiss Standard Speed T2.1 8mm :

1. Is it safe to use it with the RED camera (it could touch the red protection glass infront of the sensor) because the lenght is bigger then other Zeiss Standard Speed lenses.

2. Does Zeiss Standard Speed T2.1 8mm cover 2K 16:9 mode ?

The Distagon f2.0/8mm does not cover Super 16. Since 2K mode on the RED ONE has a capture aperture 11 mm wide, this lens will probably not properly illuminate the corners. If you do get some illumination you can expect it to be very soft in the corners.

This lens should clear the sensor window. It does not project back much further than the S16mm Super Speeds.
