ZEISS CP.2 PL set with EF mounts
This is a beautiful set of feature-quailty lenses. I was floored by the picture quality and the size of these babies. I became a Zeiss CP.2 fan from the moment I opened the box and put it on the Scarlet. Truly, beautiful glass with incredible bokeh at an amazing price.
I purchased this set for a feature shoot on Scarlet back in the summer. After some rental searches, I decided that dropping some change on a set, and purchasing the additional EF mounts, would save money over the long haul, plus give us options with what camera to use. Our plan was a multi-picture shoot, but after we wrapped principle photography and entered post, the EP went flipping nuts. With the turn of events, the lenses are not going to be used as expected. I have held on to the set because I would love to throw these babies on the 5D and see what's what, but times are rough and I have bigger plans that need funding.
The lenses were never dropped, scratched, or abused in any way. I was the DP and handled the lenses swaps most of the time, while my trusted Camera Op handled the other swaps. The only regrettable incident was to the case. The 2nd AC closed the case while a few lenses caps (we were using 2 Scarlets for the shoot) were stacked higher than the foam and it scarred the inside foam on the top (see picture). The incident did not damage the lenses covers and had nothing to do with the lens. The case has normal wear for a 30-day shoot on the move.
The set includes:
21mm, 2.9
28mm, 2.1
35mm, 2.1
50mm, 2.1
85mm, 2.1
EF mounts for all lenses (unopened; never used)
Lenses cleaning kit (unopened; we used our own cleaning equipment)
Star Test Chart
Travel case
I also have all original packaging (if needed; otherwise I will ship the case with everything inside)
I paid just under $20,000 for the package from AbelCine on the east coast and have the original purchase receipt. They are used -- only ONCE -- so I would like to recover 90% of what I paid if possible. I am asking for $18K, and will pay for shipping to anywhere in the USA. You will not be unhappy with this purchase if you plan to pick up a set like this. There is even room in the case if you choose to add the 18mm or another lens.
Also, you might consider this purchase if you plan to rent (like I did). You can purchase this set, keep them till the job is finished, and as long as you take care of them, you can sell them for close to what you paid, and walk away saving some money.
Cheers.
