I am looking for a Zeiss contax 85mm T1.4 that has 16 iris blades. This is in a Cineovision anamorphic lens. I purcahased a replacement but it only has 8 blades. Any clues as to what the model is?

[Tommaso Alvisi]

Hey Darryl,

I think it was a custom built with a customised IRIS assembly...

Zeiss never did an 85mm 1.4 with 16 aperture blades...

There are many manufacturers of IRIS assemblies around so I think you could get one which fit for sure (albeit with some work probably...)

Keep me updated, I'm curious if you make it happen!
