  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

[FS: OPTICS] Zeiss Contax 35-70/3.4 MM lens

two quick questions, is this zoom parafocal? as in if you change the focal length the focus holds?
also, what is the front filter diameter?

Hi Jordan sorry I didn't see your message until now. The original front filter diameter is 67mm. Not sure about parfocal because it is a push pull zoom so I would figure it would be tough to push pull and still keep same focus. Nick would be able to explain that better.

What Samir said. Its quite hard to hold focus as you "push and pull" on the zoom. But otherwise, this zoom holds focus relatively well yes. At least mine does, anyway.
 
No problem. Just FYI I am probably buying one this week from a local here in NYC. Supposedly near mint with boxes etc. There are cheaper ones around but if you want a really good condition one it looks like ~$600 is the going rate.
