Quick grab while doing some Arri Standard to PL adapter tests and I thought everybody would be interested in seeing a side by side comp.

VERDICT ON QUICK CHANGE PL ADAPTERS- The Les Bosher Arri to PL mount is worth every penny! It takes about 3 seconds to attach the adapter and the build quality is top notch.

- Thanks to TVC Nashville for access to thier RED for our lens tests.

Did the picture not show up?

It shows up on my laptop... I may be doing something wrong however as it's my first time uploading pictures to this site.

Thanks.. I'll fix that ASAP

I think I fixed it? Is there a picture on my first post?

Hmm, still not seeing it. Tried it in Firefox, Chrome, Safari and IE7. Just getting the broken image icon.

[EDIT] Weird. I was able to save the image to my desktop and wouldn't open in the Windows photo viewer but it did open in Quicktime. It looks like it is something to do with the format of the image that is causing some of us not to be able to view it.

In an effort to be popular in all corners of Australia I've saved the grab again using a different method.
I hope this allows the whole country to see the difference between the lenses without jumping through too many hoops.

just crushed the blacks on each... that's all.

nope just swapped the lenses out one after another... preset daylight balanced... no settings changed at all... mind you both lens sets are off of old arri 2c's ad are quite old.

That's mostly the reason foe the post, to show the difference in really vintage lenses.

WOW... that is some serious blue

did you crush the blacks with a preset or manually? I am noticing big differences in the windows of the cars. were set to equal apertures?

and what lenses exactly are these?

thanks for posting

Zeiss Standard Speed T2.1 no T coating
Cooke Speed Panchro SerII T2.3

Both T2.8

Mostly the test was for color and sharpness... not too scientific as we were really checking some adapters off ebay to Les Boshers' quick change adapter for Arri Srd mounts.

I crushed the blacks manually with a scope to about the same depth
