Zacuto EVF with EPIC?

Hi everyone!! My first real post here..
I just sent my wire transfer form the EPIC on Friday.. Ahhhhhh!!!!!

I've been in the DSLR world and have a lot of things I want to try and use with the EPIC..

Has anyone used the Zacuto EVF with it? I know the HDMI isn't working as of yet but I'm curious if anyone has used a SDI TO HDMI convertor?

I'm also awaiting the HDMI out to work to use the Zacuto EVF....using a converter defeats the whole purpose of this camera package....an AJA SDI to HDMI converter is a bit bulky.....i see no sense in doing that. Just continue to wait for HDMI out to be enabled is my strategy.

Hi John,

Only reason I ask is I hate operating with a monitor.. Something about being "ONE" with the camera.. I don't foresee getting the BOMB EVF for a few months and would just like to be prepared incase the firmware upgrade doesn't come along before I start shooting this feature..

You are so right about convertors being clunky though.. I own the exact opposite (HDMI TO SDI) for my 5D package and it's a pain..
