Hi,

I´m playing with some r3d files in PP CS 5.5 and I´m not sure what the best export options are.

1. I´m using Debugmode Frameserver to export out of PP directly to TMPGenc 5 to render a x264 File for Bluray or an mpeg2 file for DVD.
Frameserver let´s me decide if I want to export RGB 24, RGB 32 or YUY2. I googled forever but didn´t find an answer. I know R3Ds are RGB and final output for BD/DVD is YUV. Should I send RGB or YUY2 to TMPGenc which will do the rendering to mpeg2 and AVC (DVD/BD)?

2. I´d like to render a DNxHD Master. DNxHD, too, let´s me decide. 709 or RGB. Alphachannel (seems to be used for keying): none, compressed, uncompressed.
This file I would use for watching on my PC. What to choose?

Help me ! :cryin:

Felix

Found out myself. Premiere works in RGB, Tmpgenc only accepts RGB.YUV is being converted to RGB.

So

1. RED RAW RGB
2. Premiere RGB processing
3. Export to RGB24 (frameserving)
4. Tmpeg makes YUV 4:2:0 DVD/BD
