This is very disturbing. Is this a drama feature? If yes, what are the kids doing in such a set?

Just asking... Would never allow my kids to be present at such a nightmare set.

Hans

Rough English translation of Russian Title "History of the Pilot."
Shot by same Director and DP team who previously shot "Leningrad" starring Mira Sorvino.

The children are extras in the movie. In this scene rebel soldiers are invading and killing everyone in a village including children and women.

I respect your reaction to the behind the scenes images, however, I am also surprised as scenes such as this are very common in action/war films. Just so you know, the children were having a blast (poor choice of words..great time) on this set even with the severed bloody arms limbs planted throughout the set. The reality is..its not real. =) None of the children were hurt or traumatized at all. Actually we had a hard time reminding the children not to laugh during the gun battle scenes when they were running for their lives while being shot at. It goes to show we all have cultural differences, standards, and sensitivities...and thats ok.

I can clearly make out Blair in the front, and Pamala Gibby right in front of Steve Gibby in the Back while Steve's snapping a video, almost hiding away back there :)

BTW, nice showcasing of REDs.

ciao

The new World Standard for concert production is ten (10) Red 4K cameras, ... for now anyway.

Hi Tonaci,

maybe I'm too sensitive in this regard but I've been to Bosnia and saw (and heard) what landmines do to children's legs... I actually don't find such pictures entertaining while the other contributer's pictures are (more or less). Perhaps such a picture is good though in such a context- reminds people that not all in the world is fun.

Kind Regards,

Hans
