I'm at that point where it's time to upgrade boot drives, reinstall OS, apps, etc. I'm currently on 10.8.5 and find it pretty stable. I generally skip generations. My last OS was Snow Leopard. I'm not interested in Mavericks at all. How far along is Yosemite? Is it safe for me to go a head with it? I know it's only gotten one or two small updates.

We have lost all audio since moving to Yosemite. I think it is a known issue, but we are using an older Mac Pro.

Good luck!

Awesome. Maybe I will wait lol. I have a 2012 tower here. Not sold on the trashcan yet.

worst osX update so far in my opinion and at least on my machine.
Apple mail keeps crashing 4-5 a day.
Google Chrome stopped working.
Audio playback issues all the time with quicktime, preview and VLC player.
RedcineX had issues with it too until the new update that got rolled out on monday.

We run a few 2012 and same amount with nMP using Mavericks.

IMHO (and Ive been playing this game since OS8), most stable OS to date with what were using.

Alternative title interpretation.

I loaded it on my Mac trash can and all external drives disappeared from desktop and everywhere else. I need to figure this out soon ...
