Ok, I have Sekonic 558R, Delta 18% Gray card and Epic. I have discovered that Epic and Sekonic do not match. Unfortunately I cannot upload a camera profile to my Sekonic as it can be done with 758 model. I have performed a test and want to have an expert feedback if it was done properly.
1. I lit a gray card as evenly as possible.
2. Set the camera to 800 ISO, toggled False Color
3. Took the readings with a meter on the area of gray card with Green color code with the dome hidden on meter.
I see that the camera's False Color mode and meter are off around between 1/3 to 1/4 of a stop.
So the solution I came up with is to set the meter to 640 ISO when the camera is 800 ISO or set the meter to 200 ISO when the camera is 320 ISO and by doing that the stop readings match.
It is a correct approach to judge exposure based on green card and False Color and adjust the meter accordingly? It's weird to see my meter set to 640ISO, while the camera is 800 ISO...
Thanks in advance!
