I use Dynacore batteries, when I plug them into the switronix battery plate to power my epic it says 16 volts at full charge.
I'm just trying to find a backup way to power the camera in case the cable or back plate happens to break (it happened before)
So I bought the XLR 4 pin to Epic power cable.
Not only do my batteries have a P-tap out, but so does the switronix battery plate.
Can I safely rely on that to power the camera if the cable coming out of the backplate to the epic breaks again?
Of course this would be using a cable - P tap to XLR and then using the XLR to epic power cable to then power the epic.

There is nothing indicating that this wouldn't be possible except that I'm unsure if there was some unknown factor such as limited output via P-taps
